    Pose

Hey Ken - the old "if all else fails restart" - I should know that by now. It worked thank you.

    Pose

Hello - I created a model and the rigged him, and then did all the poses - then started the chor. I realized I needed another pose, so I went back and created it, but it will not work in the current chor. I pulled it into a second chor to test it and it worked fine. Any ideas? Thanks
  3. Hi Scott - thanks for your help the pants are modeled - I'll try attaching them to a different bone - thanks. Thought there might be a way to smart skin it.
  4. Hi - I have smart skinned pretty much all the bones in my character although when I have my character walk - when he puts one leg forward his pant leg goes down into his shoe - also the back of his leg bunches up. What am I missing? Thanks - Eric
  5. I think I answered my own question - I didn't realize you could simple rotate the hips and rotate the right and left foot targets to get a character to turn. Is this the proper way to do it? Thanks again - Eric
  6. I've been doing this for awhile now and still not quite understanding this. Example: you start a character walking in a chor in skeletal mode - walk him forward 10 steps - it leaves the model bone where you started. It seems the only way to turn the character is to be in choreograph mode. But then when you use that to turn the character it turn him from the original position and moves him way away from where he was at - having to then go frame by frame and replace him. What am I doing wrong?? Hopefully I am making sense what I am saying. I may have posted this a year ago or so, but I couldn't find it. Thanks for any help.
  7. Thanks for the nice comments.. John - yes it was a pain in the "a" - frame by frame had to modify the fluid... very tedious - but well payed, so who cares.
  8. I posted awhile back on a project for a client trying to find out if fluids would work in this animated pooring bottle. It turns out doing the fluid portion of it in flash worked well. The two bottle were modeled and animated in AM and it turned out pretty good. Just thought I would post if anyone was interested in seeing the finished project. Also, wanted to thank everyone who answered my posted questions. Tip and Measure: Multidose Bottle Tip and Measure: Exactdose Bottle Thanks Eric
  9. Hi Rodney - thanks for your reply.. I guess it never came up before, no one had asked. It's a very small project - so wants to see how it works or is set up - not sure. Also, thank you Paul - when I right click on a chor it also gives me the option, does that mean I can export the chor as well under the plug-ins? Thanks, Eric
  10. Hello - I did a search, but didn't find anything - I have a client that wants me to make a very short animation - but need the model and chor if possible in a 3ds format. Can you export AM models to other program formats, or is that more the job of the other programs to be able to import AM models or chor? Thank you, Eric
  11. Hi Rodney - thanks for the info and the time it took you to write it, it is much appreciated. There is no end to what this program can do
  12. Hi - I created an animation in a chor of a bottle showing it's different functions and I need to swap it with a different bottle, because the second bottle has the exact same motions - is this possible to do? or do I have to redue the animation w/ the new bottle? Thanks for any help.
  13. Two solutions at this thread if anyone else encounters the issue http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=31800 -Eric
  14. Thanks John - that was awesome - you have helping people down to an art. Thank you too Dan, that is a great idea.
  15. Hi John I actually was able to create it in flash and import it as a targa image and apply as a decal - I had to create a screen and have 3 oscillations on it - so flash was the best way to do it - the only problem is I don't know how to make it loop in AM ... any ideas. Thanks and Happy Easter.
  16. Hello - I posted earlier on creating an ECG oscillation that is going to be showing on on a monitor. I was able to create it in flash export it as an .avi and import it into AM as a targa sequence - I applied it to the monitor and it works great. My question is how do I make it loop? Do I somehow create it as an action - and have it play the length of the video? If so how do I turn it into an action? Thanks - Eric
  17. Hi Al - thanks for the link - see if I can figure out how you did it now.
  18. Hey Sebastian, thanks again for your help and the great idea. -E
  19. Hello - I have a hospital scene for a client that requires a modeled EKG machine w/ a heart monitor that they want the oscilations animated on the flat panel monitor. Any suggestions or ideas for this - I was thinking of maybe making an animated gif in another program and importing it in? Thanks for any help -Eric
  20. Hi Everyone - thanks for all the imput - I tried everything and it got weird. I tried deleting all the non used groups and that didn't fix the problem. Then I tried cutting the hand out and saving as it's own model - then importing it into the model... that didn't work. Then I grabbed the entire model and copied it and pasted it into a new model - I got the error "error in the model file at cpid 5443 anchor loop attempting to continue" then I clicked "continue" - and it pasted the entire thing w/ one cp pointing way out to the side which I deleted and then fixed the portion it was a part of - that fixed the problem. The version that had the issue that I copied then had every 5 point patch missing, so it was a mess. But the other one is working fine, and I opened and closed the program a couple of times, and all is good. Thanks for all your help, this is a big project for a client, and I really didnt' need the problem. Thanks again, and have a great night. - Eric
  21. Thank you Ken - only this is is isn't just the hand now, it is any part of the model - I'll try copying and pasting the entire model into a new one... thanks for the idea. I'll post the result
  22. This is getting weirder and weirder - I was wrong, when I removed the hand and closed down AM and reopen the same error pops up - so it isn't just the hand. Something about the model must be corrupt - I think I will have to wing it and fix it each time I open the program - it is a project for the client, is what sucks about it. All I have to do is open the model - it gives me the error - highlight the hand cut and paste it and it work fine. Anyone have any idea what the deal is?? Thanks again - Eric
