  2. That's it! Turn width softness to 0% and the streaks should disappear. I tried 100% and they were still visible but 0% does the trick. Walk_Test_A00m.mov
  3. Is that you, Ken? There is something familiar about the face. Are you working for Brown Bag? I have liked what I have seen of their work in the past.
  4. Thanks, ToreB! Way back in this thread I thrashed my way through this volumetric light artifact problem before. I will have to read up on what I did to overcome the problem last time. I recall a problem regarding alpha, ie. if there was no background image or skydome the streaks would appear. To test that I enclosed this scene in a skydome, or rather sphere, but the streaks are still there. Back to my notes ... -------------------- Edit: Here is a quote from my earlier explorations into volumetric lights and the streak anomalies: I haven't tried messing with my current project yet but I will report back when I have.
  5. Walk_Test_A00h.mov Well, it's a bit smaller.
  6. Thanks, Gene! I will replace this video with a smaller file tomorrow: (Done)
  7. Another diversion: I usually use the Setup Machine 2 to rig my characters but after experiencing a couple of glitches with it recently I decided to have a go at building my own simple rig. It's still pretty primitive but I was able to squeeze this out of it: Walk_Test_A00c.mov Walk_Test_A00d.mov Not good, I know but I'll keep playing with the rig.
  8. Looking really good, Sabino! I agree with David that the shoulder splines could use a bit of tweaking to get rid of that ridge. Great looking superheros!
  9. Very clear and well paced. Excellent!

    This all looks great, Gerry.
  11. Cool character! I quite liked the idea of tiny little angel wings flapping away like mad, with infatigable goodness, trying to support this great, dark bulk of aggression beneath it. I liked the irony, the dichotomy, the inner conflict of the character. Big bat wings are good too and unify the nature of the character, much better for a superhero of unswerving determination and cold, dark manner!
  12. Ha! Everything AND the kitchen sink! Nice character!
  13. Keep taking the medicine and your voice will return to normal.
  14. Thanks, guys! I'm going to reflatten him today and redo the textures.
  15. Blender 2.56 Beta doessn't have the full range of importers and exporters yet. Blender 2.49 is the current release version. My attempts to get Blender to import an x file from A:M have all failed so far. I haven't tried the 3D Wings route yet. A:M to FBX would be the ideal solution.
  16. The quilt effect and wrinkles are just bump mapping and simple geometry. I think the effect will be enough for these characters. Thanks for the comments.
  17. You had fun in 2010! Here's to 2011!
  18. Well, it's an additional character really so they can all be given a role to play. The first model is loosely based on the proportions of the male lead in Disney's "Tangled/Rapunzel" and the second is loosely based on the proportions of Hiccup from Dreamwork's "How to train your dragon". Yes, I think that they could occupy the same world. Thanks, Rodney.
  19. I have made a few changes to this character but have somehow messed up the rig for the fingers. Also I have to redo all of the mapping/textures. Lad_Test_A00.mov

    Camaro SS

That is another beautiful model for your fleet, Marcos.
  21. I had some luck exporting X files to XSI and then exporting to FBX for Unity. This worked well until Autodesk bought Softimage. Then I started looking into Blender for converting to FBX but the exporter wasn't working at that time. It would be worth another look now. Good luck.
