  1. Ok, fluids take way to long to render so I just made a transparent patch with roughness on it to simulate water. I finished the layout of the enemy compound and rendered out a quick mov. layoutpan.mov
  2. No but I figure it is less of a hassle to use fluids than make a material.
  3. Why dont you just render the scenes you want from each camera?
  4. I finished the pond with water. pond.mov
  5. I couldn't find the material under the choreography so I just manipulated the actual material in the material section. I will try again tomorrow. Thanks for the help!
  6. I am making a pond and I thought I could fill it with fluid and the stop filling it a the first frame. How can I go about doing this. do I manipulate the material directly? I tried setting keys for the emission rate and it just completely deleted all the fluid.
  7. For some reason a map works as a color map but not a bump map. Here are the images, what's the problem?
  8. You can use a dynamic constraint and that will work perfectly
  9. I just cut and paste so that is how it was connected. I am going to leave it as it is. I will only been seen briefly anyway. I finished the barracks, the bag of coins, and the map.
  10. Finished the modeling for the exterior of the barracks. Still need to do the interior and texturing.
  11. I fixed the neck. There are two pictures attatched. one is a final render with a kleig light and the oter is AO. The camera is in the exact same spot in both pics. However in the AO one the hair doesnt show. Can Ao not work with hair? Thanks, MasterFunk
  12. What I meant to say is that what your scene and the surrounding will look like. Will it look like those old time Japanese movies? CHEERS! The scene will be a more traditional japanese setting but the over all mood will be a little dark. So yes and no
  13. I just copied and pasted the head from my other model and where I copied it the shoulders were starting. I did round it out now though. Thanks for the criticism. I am rendering an AO image of the head now so I will post it when it is done. I also rounded out the knobs on the bed posts. Here is a pic, although the closer ones look a bit flat still. MasterFunk
  14. The bed was originally going to be a futon type thing to make it look more japanese but it evolved a little while I was making it. Here is another prop.
  15. It will take place in the enemy compound. I don't really know what you mean by 'old time ninja theme.' Could you explain?
  16. I have decided to make a short movie in order to better my skills as an animator, modeler and texturer. I centers around a ninja that has to complete an assassination. Right now I am working on the set. So far I have finished the bed and the table. Here they are. I look forward to the completion of this project and the criticism to help me make it better. Thanks in advance! MasterFunk
  17. here is a really good demon skin tutorial by Colin. http://www.colins-loft.net/free/mats/Demon_Skin_Material.htm
  18. You could model a cylinder and turn on the glow effect, or if you want to get fancy you could use particles
  19. do you want to use tubes? You can just make a skull cap and add particle hair to it. Check out this tutorial on making hair. http://www.colins-loft.net/new_coop_tutorial/CoopHair.html
  20. Occationally when I click the box to name the file it freezes and I cant click ok or click out. When this happens I just force quit it and reopen it to render it again. The second time around it usually works. I am on a mac too.
  21. I know that some images created on certain macs look very dark on some pc's but images created on pc's dont look dark on macs.
  22. It took me about 6 months to get the hang of it. It is crucial to learn continuity. Once that is mastered it is easy to model.
  23. Gerald, I don't have the codec you're using to view this. George neither do I.
