Egad! Now someone getting beat up, crashed, smashed, poked and projected more than good ol' Thom himself!!! very...Very... VERY nicely done! Bravo!

Justin, You still out there? I just realised that I had never responded to your post! Very very sorry for the delay... Please forgive. That a fine little animation and best of all it looks like Keekat (and friend) were having a blast! There is also a growing interest in the teaching (and course taking) aspect of Animation:Master so I'm sure any insight into your experience at school would be appreciated. I've started a post to collect information from those of you that have had the opportunity to take classes with Animation:Master. Here is the link to the post: Taking Classes with Animation:Master Thanks again for your post!

pequod said: I'm kind of glad I can't... I'd be locked up for sure! It's nice that others have the talent and inclination to scratch where it itches though! Nice fluid animating and soundsync Alli!

Very nice Adam You've really got a winner there! The style that you are working in is a favorite of mine. Not too much CG and not too much 'claymation' look. Just right Keep it up!

Looks Great! Two questions/critiques The shadows You look like you still are experimenting with the shadows. The darker ones look too stark to my eye. I like the soft shadow from the first multi-strat picture. Does the render time take a significant hit to get the softer ones? The floor Still not sure if you've replaced the solid plane with individual 'boards'. I think such subtleties will add a lot to the over all scene. If you do have individual 'boards' perhaps adding a slight bevel to the edges will make it more realistic. As it stands today the boards look like they are painted onto the floor. Amazing detail you got there as it is though! 'Tis hardly my place to critique.

David, I gave your project file a looksee... I like! I was going to post a pic or two so others can see what is going on. I attempted to place two eyes in a chor with one constrained to the other. I failed to take baby steps though and managed to come up with a circular contraint problem when I attempted to get the two pupils to react together... In short, I went a little to far beyond the simplicity of the setup and got myself in a corner. I'll try again when I have a little more time to play. I still think the setup would work great with a solar system of planets too!

Thanks for the reply Frank! I had a feeling you still met sporadically. Glad to hear that you do. Best of luck with your work and... I do hope you get the chance to go to SIGGRAPH. Best, Rodney
-
Just had random thoughts of SIGGRAPH and AMLA running through my brain so I thought I'd post and see if AMLA tries to take advantage of SIGGRAPH's presence in the city. Any AMLA members hanging 'round?
-
DL, Glad to see you back in action in the forum again! When I need inspiration and a reason to carry a project through with a critical eye on composition and detail I always think of you! Look forward to seeing more of those fish!

Whooa! Very Nice Emilio! ...and there are those who think Animation:Master cannot be used for architecture!!

Is it not easy to see why Hash Inc. takes so much pride in what they do? Awesomely awesome stuff made by talented artists with an incredibly powerful and accessible tool. Kudos all around!

Now let's go even farther back... back to Y2K! Momentum Animation Studios created this awesome toon/anime flavored music video: Bardot music video
-
...and since I'm linking 2001 Momentum music videos... Here's another: Gina Jeffrey's Music Video Great stuff throughout but my favorite part is where Gina transforms into the pixie/fairie. Not sure why, but there is also an added bonus at the end of the video as well... Matt Rhodes's "Tissue"!

Here's more awesome 2001 Momentum music video work! Nivea - Run Away music video See more cool films made with Animation:Master at: A:M Films

Philip, Very Nice! I had to look really hard at the first one you posted. It reminded me of the style you get out of some basic 2D image programs... This is a complement as I fondly recall drawing in that style! With A:M of course your perspective is perfect though while mine was never right! Looks like a lot of fun and hard work!

Only 3 weeks!!! Okay.... definitely time to go back to my crayons.... Hang in there... you are definitely on your way to some awesome character animation! Keep it up!

Will, The only things I'm still not clear of is... where in Zandoria Comics continuity does TAR fight the giant octopus. Is it BEFORE or AFTER he fights the Balrog... I missed the Balrog issue as I think my local dealer forgot to order!!! hmmmm.... What issue should I look for them in? Hmmm? In other words... Great work! I wanna see more!
