To run the file I had to upgrade Quicktime according to the error returned. After doing so, and envocing the file Quicktime informed me I needed some ad on plugin. When going to the url: provided there were numerious plugin's. What one is required for the Tech Talk MOV file? Quote
Admin Rodney Posted December 3, 2006 Author Admin Posted December 3, 2006 The link for the Ensharpen codec can be found in the following location: Tech Talk Videos As the link was a bit hidden at the bottom after the links to the Tech Talks I've added a new link with emphasis near the top. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Hopefully that will help others find it too. Rodney Quote

The install most have written over the plug in. Quote
Admin Rodney Posted December 3, 2006 Author Admin Posted December 3, 2006 Thanks Dick. I've added the following note to let people know they might have to reinstall: If you've updated Quicktime you may need to reinstall the Ensharpen codec. Quote

candimeg Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 Hi Rodney, Here's Exercise #8 (sorry - posted it to the wrong place before). Robin Quote
Admin Rodney Posted February 4, 2007 Author Admin Posted February 4, 2007 Thanks Robin and fine job. Technically *this* is the wrong place... but who is really enforcing that? The Exercise 8 area is here: http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=13132 Latest posts in that discussion: http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showt...3132&st=110 One benefit to working through each individual exercise area is that you get to see what others have done before, learn from their experience and throughly explore. It can take a little while for me to make the rounds but eventually I would have found it. I just saw your update on your 'Make My Day' animation for instance. Nice! I'll try to add any related commentary there. Keep up the great work. Quote
Geoff Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 Hey, I started TAO and should have it finished....but life happened lol. Anyways im working on the plane but im using an x wing instead cuz i couldnt find the plane rotoscope the only thing is when i make the engines and go to copy them since there are 4 it just gives me a bunch of spline rings and they are not hooked together. What am i soing wrong? heres what i have so far of it. I want any feed back u can give me. Thanks Geoff Quote
Geoff Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 so....what am i soing worng help please. And how do u close up holes on the ends of things? Quote
Dhar Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 Without seeing a shaded wire of your problem, here is one solution. There are many other ways of doing it. Hope that helps. Quote
largento Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 I'm not sure what you're asking, Geoff. Are you saying you have a completed part of the model and when you copy and paste of it, all of the CPs and splines aren't appearing? If so, check to make sure you're not in Mirror Mode. Quote
Geoff Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 alright ill explain this in more detail. Whats happening is i made the engine. All the splines are attached together. When i got to copy it i select the whole thing and copy paste it but when i paste it all the rings are detached. THey are just like seperate rings sittin and chillin there. DO i have to close it off before i copy it cuz right now i have open ends and if i need to close it whats the easiest way to do so? Quote
Jeetman Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 It would help if you'd post an image(s) of what's happening. Quote
