Heiner Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Hi there, i was just trying to set up a scene with some dead trees which looks a bit spooky. Main focus is the atmosphere, which should be as eerie as possible. Enjoy. Heiner Quote
trajcedrv Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Spooky it is... brrrrr.... However, when we came to atmosphere, litle bit of volumetric fog would add much to it... Drvarceto Quote
Dhar Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Awsome moon, nice foilage. What Trajce said, fog would add more "spook". Quote
Heiner Posted February 15, 2006 Author Posted February 15, 2006 I would really like to add some "ground covering fog" but i never get tis working the way i want it to work. So i will have to do some heavy testing ... Cheers, Heiner Quote

The lighting isn't consistant with the moon unless you are going to have some type of fire or light in the center of those trees (where the light seems to be eminating from). David Quote
Heiner Posted March 3, 2006 Author Posted March 3, 2006 Ok, i added stars to the background, modified the lightning a bit, and changed something on the clouds. It is getting better it think. Yes, the lightning is not really "realistic" but i am more looking for some kind of a B movie look, with weird colors. Hope you like it Heiner Quote
Paul Forwood Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Nice improvement, Heiner. Are you using procedural textures on the branches or decals? You might think about putting a bit of a halo on the moon. Just a thought. ;-) Quote
Heiner Posted March 3, 2006 Author Posted March 3, 2006 Actually i was using the bloom post effect, but it does not show up in the render, just in the composite .cmp file. and i dont know how ti apply that onto the picture :-( Heiner ahhh, and i am using Darktrees for everything! Heiner Quote
Zaryin Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 I actually think the image lok more sad than scary to me. It looks like they're drowning in the there own wieght. Reaching for the only light they can get. I like it. Quote
the_black_mage Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 you know what would be cool, some completly black figures out in the open , lots of them, no eyes or nothing... Quote
