  9. i was going to use IBL but it doesnt seem to be working anymore with version 14a so i had to go with radiosity only reason i think it took that long was all the reflections and the trasparancy in the gem

  16. Ive been working on this car for about 3 years on and off its a 2003 Audi TT quadtro when i first started it i couldnt get it look right at all everything was out of proportion and the materials i was using made it look like crap well after seeing Xtaz and his BMW i decided to give it another go i almost basicly started from scratch so far just got the front basicly done with a few areas missing got to give a big thx to Xtaz again for the the material hints still has a long way to go but i wanted to get some comments on how it looks so far and what could be changed if needed jobe
  17. i am trying to get the effect of a super ball that has a very bouncy serface and i used the hair to see the way it bounces it acutally made it easier for me to follow the motions what i was going for was to get to bounce and loose it bounce after a peroid of time but since the hairs take a while to render i had to shorten it i will rerender to show thw whole animation yes the file size is samll becuase basicly theres nothing in the screen except for the ball
  18. i went back to basics with animating after quite a few failed attempts so i just started with a bouncing ball tell me what you guys think ball_bounce_test.mov

  20. hey nuns just let me tell you your doing a great job and your going on the same path i did about 5 years ago i was always starting projects and never finishing them (i got about 35 im working if i still contribute to them still lol) what you should do is start one project and stick to it you say you have trouble modeling chracters well so do (and still do to some extendnt) start small like that leg you were doing try building off of that my first chracter was a ball with 2 eyes and sticks for legs but he was still a chracter so what im saying is start small and build on it hope this helps later jobe
