  1. How about a test using real expressions?
  2. Car with guns? I thought it was a futuristic street sweeper! Either way, it's a very appealing design.
  3. Actually that looks pretty good. Kinda like the shutters of a camera lens. Great job.
  4. Take a look at Johnny-5 from the 1986 movie "Short Circuit" - it might inspire you to tackle the eye lid problem. Johny-5's eye lids were also his eye brows, so there was no shortage of showing emotions.
  5. Newark, California (San Francisco Bay Area) I attended a couple of CG animation classes at the San Jose City College (3DS Max & Infini-D). I wish they'd offer A:M classes (evenings or weekends), I'd definitely be there.
  6. My Windows Media Player can't seem to connect to the link.

    Feet curl up.

Yah! I have the same problem with the Knight in the Cancan tutorial. I ended up having to correct it in the action window. Same for Keekat.
  8. Yeah, looks good. What is it? never mind, you just posted the answer
  9. <eyes out of focus - head tilted back - tongue sticking out - drooling - Homer sound ghghghghgh> That is some awsome work!!! A++++++++
  10. I love it! Awsome work. As always, hind sight is 20/20, but it's the first impression that counts, and it was dead on. Keep up the good work.
  11. LOL, I meant a rendered 3/4 vi... of you know what I meant.
  12. Right on! How about 3/4 rendered view?
  13. Looks pretty good. If you're trying to achieve realistic behavior, the jet acts more like a model, it lacks 'weight'. This is evident in the abrupt manuvering when it swoops to land, however, as the landing gears touch down you succeeded in adding 'follow thru' which indicates 'weight' to the whole machine. I did a similar project a few years ago using Infini-D (which is no more) where it had the cool ability to reflect smoke emiters upwards once it touched the ground. I wonder if A:M has a similar feature?
  14. Mystery Science Theater 3000 - wasn't that on MTV's Liquid Television stint in early 90's?
  15. Am I going about rigging the right way? Could anyone tell from the pic?
  16. Looks more like a Jaguar XK8 than a Cougar.
  17. That's some pretty hammering effect. Did you manipulate Roughness & Scale?
  18. I followed the tutes in http://www.colins-loft.net/CoopPreview.html. Although it's for a human eye, the principles, I think, are the same. Good job on this challenging project.
  19. It didn't even occur to me. Thank you for the suggestion, I'll play with that over the weekend. I did, however, make the pupil and the iris 80% reflective, but that was too much, I'll play with that as well.
  20. Hey, that looks great, especially how accurately you molded it to the drawing.
  21. That looks fantastic! Are the pencil views your interpretation?
  22. I'm waiting for my PaintPro to arrive and then see what I can do about texturing, although, the project I have in mind is to have simple characters. As far as attaching the file to the post, I tried what you suggested twice and didn't work, probably because the file was a tad over 1MB (1.07). If there's a trick, I'm all ears
  23. This is my first model in A:M (also my first post with attachhed file, hope it works). Looking for anyone's critique.
  24. I did it both ways, no luck. I have COMCAST cable.
