  6. Hi guys, I just did this scene for fun, had this idea for a while but only just got around to doing it.... I was after a nice simple cartoon look and feel.... am very happy with the results and thought I would share....
  7. Den this is a great model.. I look forward to learn from ur modeling progress.... be sure to make his shield kick-ass
  8. John this is FANTASTICO!!!! love ur creativity.... really awsome scene... thanks for sharing..
  9. Very nice scene I like the simplistic overall feel to it.... * by having the ground black it causes all the models to float.... to help make the models seem a bit grounded try change the colour of the ground or add some specularity to it so it gives the illuision that something is at the buttom... * the OPERA words seem to float, the offset of the shadows clearly shows it's not actually on the book.. thats just my critz if ur happy with the final render as is then rock on!! thanks for sharing..
  10. Kevin - He looks so much better... love his expression... really inspiring Thanks for the zip file!!!...
  11. Jin this is looking really good so far.... ur a quick modeler... I look forward to ur progress..
  12. Def an awsome model, very inspiring................thanks for sharing..
  13. Thanks for the wireframe kevin, nice solid modeling.... the wall and ground are they one object or 2? cuz they blend very nicely how was that done?
  14. Kevin - I think u did a fantastic job on this yeti.... - the stubbles they do stand out but he's a beast so I think it adds to his wild nature.. - I agree with vern on giving him slighty bigger feet / giving his hair more of an unkept appearance... other than that this model rocks!! thanks for sharing... can we see a wireframe!!!
  15. Hi john, Thanks alot for the insight / practical use of animating mats.... I was considering for a while using mats to fake some light / caustics motions on my ocean bed, but was not sure how to... this really cleared up alot.... thanks..
  16. Very nice lighting and layout.... I remember when I did a few layouts for a game I was working on...... really fun stuff..... thanks for sharing..
  17. RAR- is a compression software like WinZip... http://www.download.com/3000-2250-10007677.html chinbig2000 - very cool animations, the Mosquito is really well done... I also like the second animation.. Love the caterpillar very funny... thanks for sharing..
  18. Here is a final render of my worm scene.. Am very happy with the mood and overall appearence... *** I tone the lights way down... added some dust.... tweaked the Daddy worm eyes a bit.. tweaked the ocean bed.. *** Thanks to all for ur help and comments... thanks to #hash....
  19. I have updated my scene based on some of the feedback u guys gave me... Am not after realism here just to tell a story... Rod : I tinted the baby worms eyes and I think it looks better thanks alot... higginsdj : I wrote a little story in my first post... **updates** - tweaked ocean floor - tinted baby worms eyes - added a starfish - tweaked the lighting a bit - added a tongue to my fish ................... thanks for all ur critz and help..
  20. Thanks for the feedback Rod and Ken... Rod : I added motion blur to the fish, not sure why that side looks blurred.. maybe the settings a bit to high... Ken : thanks I will add a few things in the foreground and background... ~DL~
  21. Here is a wireframe...
  22. Hi guys I created this scene for fun, based on a little experience I had a few years back... *** Ever found urself in the wrong place at the wrong time? not a good feeling.. Sometimes it just best to turn right around and run!! Sang was hungry and went looking for food in a rough area of the ocean..Bumped into daddy!!! and baby worms and realized his stay should be short!!! *** I wanted a dramatic feel so I used a limited colour palette / textures and design... The bobbles were done by hand cuz my system can't handle particles... Done with A:M / The Gimp.... thanks for your feedback!!
  23. Rich - I want to say awesome job so far man this stuff is tough, am just animating a simple fish and am pulling my hair I can't imagine how much more of a challenge this is...... From his motion I got the impression of sadness... I notice there is not much secondary motion to help the walk convey more.... But am sure u got this under control, again this is tough stuff and I admire ur attempts and efforts..... very inspiring..... thanks for sharing.....
  24. Thanks for the feedback Eos and KingSalami.......... KingSalami - I will be adding more if I can....... *** Due to long renders I will be posting low res images cuz am rendering with only 1 pass........ still working on the smoke and atmosphere..... more to come......
  25. Hi guys I got some time to work on my fantasy scene..... I have done some re-structuring on the scene, cuz previous attempts was not working out..... *** So the idea is to have ships attack my serpent so I will have lots of explosions and smoke.... now my computer is old and can't handle particles well; so I decided to do a matte painting of most of the effects I need... I have never done this before so I will need some pointers...... what I have here is the basic layout and the smoke I painted...... Did this in THE GIMP... I will update this scene as I progress...... ur comments and suggestions means alot.....
