  9. John - Thank you very much sir... Rod- Thanks so much for your encouraging words really means alot... I modeled the worm character that will feature with Missy.... I am very happy with the simplicity and style am achieving while trying to maintain character. his name is "Shyne"
  10. Good job, I am considering modeling a car but it looked intimidating. Your efforts has inspired me... thanks for sharing..
  11. Hi guys, it's been a while since I last updated my fish project, Alot has changed over the months I had very little time to work on it... I also took the time to re-design my characters and get a feel for their personality and the way they will act and move.. This project turned out different than when I first started (character wise), I learn so much from your crits and by practicing, I modeled over 20 fishes just trying to get a feel for a design. it's hard sometimes to transfer what's in ur head to paper/computer... Alot of them will not make it into the final movie, but am happy with what I learned... My other fishes slowed down my machine alot which made animating hard cuz I have a slow machine... -----NEW------ PROJECT INFO------ I am very happy with what I came up with I narrowed it down to 2 characters, which are low in patch count and are fun to work with.... My orginal story and idea was to big for just me to do, so I changed it and made it more simple...Just a girl and Worm... Here is the girl her name is ~missy~..... the worm character will be posted soon...
  12. Will - Awsome model something that I think is complicated you made look simple and do-able... very inspiring model I look forward to seeing him posed and textured....
  13. nglemb- I really like this scene; looks very abstract, I also like the orange thingy.... the overall scene has a nice feel to it.... keep up the good work..
  14. MATrickz- great job.....very nice character... I think you can add some personality by giving the eyes (around the eyes) it's own colour, give his tummy a different colour.......these are just surgestions..... keep up the good work..
  15. Sofabutt - Thanks for checking in on my project, at the moment am busy with a freelance project I picked up so I will not be able to do much with my fish project... But when I have an update I will post it........
  16. modernhorse - I like the simple look he has..... I just think his eyes could use a bit of tweaking, they seem to end abruptly where they meet the eyeball........ I look forward to more updates..... keep up the good work....
  17. Nice layout you got here Dale, The trees are nicely done.... But I don't get a scary feeling when I look at your image, I think overall it's a bit too bright..You seem to like the idea of the green mist then I think you should let it drive the mood of the scene, let that be the brightest then have everything else fade in contrast; getting darker and darker.. The trees to the far left and right their roots should not be seen in my opinion, Make the viewer wonder what's in the dark...... hope this helps, Keep up the good work.
  18. dinocarl - Great Stuff so far!!! I have a friend who works at "ROCKSTAR GAMES" and she looks over all the demos that comes in, she mention to me that if your applying as a modeler they usaully want to see still or animated wireframes also full shade mode. So maybe you may want to include some wireframes of each model so they can see your skill, just thought I would share that with you....
  19. Maybe he means it seems like a heavy mesh, can you post a wireframe?
  20. This is awsome so far!!.... I can relate to the difficulty of selecting the right CPS.. What I found helpful is as I model (Example the mouth) I assign it to a group as I model it.. SO the head would be one group then when it's time to model the inside of the mouth I create another group for that, so if I want to hide the head and focus on the inside of the mouth it's already grouped. As the model gets more complex it makes things alot easier..... thats my way maybe it's the hard way, maybe someone as a better solution..
  21. littleandy - the GIMP seems to do things a bit different or maybe there are other ways of doing it.. Here is what I found out as I was experimenting.. 1 - create a new file, make sure you select TRANSPARENT where it says FILL TYPE... 2 - then just draw on that transparent file, then save as a tga format, when loaded into A:M it has an alpha channel.. I have not done complex alphas with the GIMP yet but I thought that would help you..
  22. Here is also a shot of his Rig, looks pretty crappy... When I get better I will create better rigs
  23. Here is the pose sheet for LevVy, very simple expressions. when he's animated it will be better expressed...
  24. Thanks Rodney - Am just using "THE GIMP" to compose the renders.. After sketching for a while and after learning more about "modeling for animation" I re-created LevVy as I planned in cartoon style, he's riged and ready to be animated.. I have changed a few things about the story so I will update in the future..
  25. Iham - this is awsome work!! I love your creativity the style u got going here... This is very different... great design and texturing they look alive already.. Keep up the great work!!!
