gazzamataz / nixie Thanks for the feedback... nixie - Am going for more of a rocky look for the first few shots but when the hospital scene comes in then I will add some sand around it, but it will still retain the rocky atmoshpere. I got some more time to work on the Evil Doctor.. I decided not to go with the turtle look, I find this design a bit more appealing and I can make him look more evil I as I want to.. This design gives me more flexibility....... I have some more tweaking to do then I will texture him.. comments are welcome..

Caricature - can you tell who it is?

Hi guys, I started designing the underwater layout of my scene.. I am trying to maintain a cartoony look am not after realism at all... the scene is on the ocean floor so not much plant life will be here just debis etc.. This is what I have so far.. any surggestions are welcome. Vern I think you need a white jacket and a room with no windows

ZachBG - I think the animation so far looks great, I think he's surppose to float a little since he's on the moon, right now there is no indication that there is gravity. ** what's your render output SIZE ? I would like to use the same for my underwater scene. cheers!!!

takahiro / AMAR - thanks for the help and the links.... this is the best I can do... I learned alot doing this martini.

Hey Grubber - Just to help you a bit I thought I would share how I textured my fish.. You can also use the concept to texture your creature if you like... 1 - create a gradient material ranging the colours I need, I use 2 gradient depending on how complex I want my texture; or you can use 1 colour as the base colour.... 2 - then I create a bump material using A:M's dented plugin; I like this tool you can really get some cool patterns if you spend time with it. or you can use a bump map... 3 - then I create a diffuse material which consist of black and white colours, so I use like the pelin pattern, then in each of the colour attributes I change the falloff values to make the material look dirty or dark anything below 100 % makes the material appear brighter; anything above 100% makes it look dark and dirty .... 4 - then I add some specularity just by changing the values in the ( group name ) of the fish... spec size and intensity. thats a very cude list of how I go about doing it.... I hope to write a TUT soon.. take care.

thanks alot shaunf - I want to add caustics but don't know how .... any ideas?

WOW voctor this is awsome animation, I can see a definite "step-up" improvement compared to the alien song when comes to facial expressions.. BTW- I just wanted to say breathtaking job on Finding Nemo Keep up the good work.

modernhorse - Thanks for your feedback... this is only for learning purposes it was not ment to be a full scene.... just trying out things I never did before in A:M..
-
Thanks alot Rodney .. Am really surpprise of the results am getting with just a 3 point light setup without any HDRI, GI, or caustic. But I would like to add some caustic; how would I go about doing that?
-
thanks alot modernhorse I worked more on it am liking the results so far..... I will add some things in the drink and tweak the boards...... thanks for looking.

Hi guys, I am having trouble making my martini look real.. The dark area on the glass is that normal? Can someone please help me fix the overall look? Thanks alot...

Grubber - This is a great model I like the design. Can we see a wireframe?
-
I had some time to work more on Dr BandDoor.... gazzamataz - Thanks for the tip I reduced the CP's on him to the best I can without loosing much detail.. He had over 700 before now he's has 336 patches... I will have more renders soon.... thanks to all of you for your surpport.......

c-wheeler - nice scene, I think there needs to be proper ligthing to seperate your character from the background. As it stands there seems to be no backlight coming from the moon shinning unto the wolf and as a result the lighting looks flat... Jeremy Birn's ligthing tut's are the best I have seem so far he covers the importance of the fundermentals of lighting... I think as long as the lighting is tweaked you've got yourself a winner.. keep up the good work.

If u just want to apply a material then just drag and drop it unto the group name.... if you want to add a texture map then right + click on the group name then choose add image then add the image you want...
-
Hi kat - I really like your character so far.. I like his simple look. Can you post a wireframe of him please? I am working on a still image where I will be modeling a face and this is a great example of what I want..... Keep up the good work.
