  1. Excellent dog. Looks the way a cartoon dog should look. Look forward to seeing him in action.
  2. Lookin' good. Do you plan to make the scaly part of his lower area blend into the abdomen? Kinda looks like he's slipped into some tight spandex. Aside from that, lookin' good. I do look forward to seeing him move about.
  3. Bummer. Well at least you completed the project with good results. Does that mean you'll be posting a new Hash to Flash animation for us in the near future?
  4. Nice job. I like it. Once you converted to Flash, was there much more tweaking to do or was it ready to go?
  5. Dang, that sounds like quite the competition. 4 hours you say? Wow. I'll have to keep that in mind for something down the road. I did like your animation though. Pretty good, smooth. Nice job with just 4 hours.
  6. Superb. She looks pretty hot, and the hair is nicely done too. My only critique is it appears her thumb is intersecting the gun. The lighting is right on as well.
  7. Smooth motion. Very well done. Lookin' forward to the next part of this animation.
  8. First off, I love your Robot. He's awesome. Second, he's got one hot set of wheels for picking up the fem-bots. Nice original design. The batteries, the motor, the wires to the terminals on the motor. All good!! Keep us posted, I definitely want to see him in motion in this beast.

Now that's some good lighting. Just what I'm looking for. I think many of us would be interested in those. Keep us posted on your tutorial.
  10. Gotta add my kudos. That is awesome. I'll have to keep this one in mind next time I want to model a head. Smooth.
  11. Thanks. See if this is what you guys are talking about with the volumetric light. It's low intensity. I probably should've added more detail in the room their coming from. ARGHHHH!!! No wonder projects hardly ever get finished, we can always see what else needs to be done. I think I'm done. ;)
  12. Okay, you caught my bluff. I just may add that volumetric lighting. I was playing around with trying to create a little darkness in the background and have that alien in the far back barely visible.
  13. I was going to submit a second entry for the "toon" contest, but Steve informed me I could only do one. So, this is just a quick pic I did the other day. It's nothing spectacular, but fun nonetheless. I created the Alien a couple years back, just never did anything with him, but now that I've got TSM, he's boned and rigged. Comments and critiques are welcome, but the picture is pretty much finished. Time to move on to other things. (v10.5 / WIN98se / AMD 2400+ / 512 MB / ATI Radeon9200)
  14. AWESOME!! It's nice to see someone making excellent use out of displacement maps. This is good to see a nice unique use of it as well. It would be nice to see a set of heads done this way.
  15. C'mon Homeslice. Admit to it that those are real statues and you just took a purple crayon to them to fake the wireframes. Dang if those aren't some of the best models I've seen in quite some time. You've apparently spent some time with these. Not just one, but several. The texturing just adds so much to them as well. I am in awe!! Thanks for sharing. Are these created for a specific project, or just because you could?
  16. Lookin' good. I'd say the expressions are lookin' sharp as well. Is that all of his expressions so far, or are there more, or more to come?
  17. Nice characters. I especially liked the facial expressions on each. Looks like you paid good attention to the detail of each. Thanks for sharing. B)
  18. Good job. :D Keep up the good work.
  19. Lookin' good. I really like the roller texture. Looks preem-o!!
  20. It may very well have been recorded at 29.97fps, but when imported into AM, it shows it as 29. Now it's possible it's just dropped the fraction (but it should've rounded up). However I do believe it thinks it's 29.0fps, because the soundtrack was off so much by the end of the video. If it were dropping .03fps, the sound should've been off by one frame within a 33 seconds, but instead it was off quite a bit more leading me to the conclusion that it was dropping a whole frame each second. All is well in the end though. I had a picture to attach with the properties showing the video clip at 29fps, but for some reason I can't attach the picture. Oh well.
  21. Good job Zach. And congrats on your winning entry. I liked the ending with the ctrl-alt-delete keys there. Quite appropriate.
  22. Thanks. I'm going to see about moving the camera some to get the monkeys expressions (and then give him some). The video on the TV was fairly easy. I had to import the AVI video the same way you would a picture to be used as a decal. And then I applied it the same way you would a decal. I did have one problem though. The video plays at 29 fps, while the animation is set for 30 fps. This kind of sped up my source video by 1 fps. It wasn't too big of a deal until I tried to apply the sound file. It kind of got off track. I had to change the video source to run at 30fps, but by then all my movements were already set to the old source. Ahhhh, what a mess.
  23. Thanks for all the compliments everyone. And it looks like getting an angle on the monkeys face is in order. I'll see what I can do about that.
  24. I know what you mean. I'll have to work on the floatiness. I will work on some blinking as well. He doesn't have eyelids yet. Or should I just do the ol' cartoonish blinking of the pupils??
  25. Okay, I've just finished a small piece I've been working on. A little info here: I've been working on editing video of my two daughters (ages 21 months & 3 years). The video clips will be put on a DVD for my wife and the two grandmothers. Before the main menu on the DVD there's an opportunity to insert an intro video, so this is what I've created. First off, I apologize to the MAC folks if they can't view Windows Media Files. I tried other formats, but was having a hard time to keep this down to a small enough file size. I do recognize that there's several flaws with this animation. The monkey (in the foreground) has a few issues with twisting of the wrist and elbows moving unnaturally. Well enjoy. And critique is always welcome. http://www.mtaonline.net/~7ohms/monkeys/
