  1. Hey Scott, yeah I see what you're saying.... but then when I see that huge smile with the white, I like that one all of a sudden. Then I see how it fades out and I change my mind again. I have to see what the white would look like if he were talking with lip shapes. Also, see about trying out making a black line inbetween to signify bottom and top teeth.   2. Hey guys, thanks for reply! Dearmad and Fishman, I definately feel like something won't look right about blasting the mouth to white and black... but I've made a test to check it out. It does appear to flash, But I think, maybe it's because the lips don't close at the end. I'm gonna try a few more poses but here is the link as is now...   3. Hey guys, so, now onto the mouth of this character... I'm trying to see what might be a cool/easy way to handle this guys mouth. I'm thinking adding a property to change the color of the mouth from white to black when appropirate to simulate when teeth should show and not... this sample would be.... obviously with teeth:) http://www.vrcops.com/vids/SmileA.mov what do you think?   4. John, your mesh looks fine, but why when it's rigged the frog all of a sudden looks like froggie frankenstien? Why are the top of his arms coming out like that? His shoulders should be nestled into the torso.... I think that might be some of your problems that your having? But again, the mesh looks good.... Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  5. You could also select the individual groups, copy and then paste. Then extrude and edge to keep the corners sharp Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  6. Hey John, cute model.... But you are going to have problems rigging this model cause of the way it's built. Just having an assembled mesh isn't enough. If you post shaded wireframes, I'll mark it up for you. Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  7. Hey Mark, thanks for the reply. No smartskin at all. The whole system is cogs, for the most part identical to the system in McKnuckles. I had to make a couple changes in certain areas like the torso as it is a little wierdly shaped. Thanks Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com

  11. Hey Mark thanks abour the hip thing. As far as the distortion box.... unfortunately I've heard nothing back from the hash guys. I think that Bob C. has been assigned the problem. There is nothing I can do to fix it, as it is a programming issue. I hope that DBoxes can get ironed out, they should play a huge role in character set up.... everything from lip shapes to joints could be easily set with Dboxes... Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com

  14. Steve, that was excellent!!!! Very impressive results! I swear, sometimes I think that Martin Hash is just sitting around saying to himself "it's about time people start using all the tools!!!!!!!!!!" It's really crazy to me how many things we can easily do with the software. While Ken brings up a good point about the natural flow of the splines to be used to create the folds.... you loose the power of the software to use the absolute bare minimum of splines and still create great looking effects.   21. So, I decided to continue working on the make believe "Incredibles" model I built insead of the caped character from which this one came....
