  1. Thanks for taking a look Nixie, appreciate the comments. I did one more render with MultiPass and blur. I really think the quality of the MultiPass blur is very very impressive. I put the blur to 50% and the MultiPass to 16x16 http://www.vrcops.com/vids/R2PBlur50MPA.mov Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  2. "Keep going on those animation exercises. I won't give you any criticism but I will ask you if you see anything wrong with the action? I don't think you should go back and change it, but I do think that if you examine the shot you'll know what to do to make the next one better." Hey Martin, thanks for checking the stuff out!!! I appreciate the comments. And that has sort of been my philosophy lately with animation. Work on something, but don't lament over it! And take any changes to the next animation. All to often in the past I would work 1 particular thing to death and it definately hampered any progress! "Both motion blurs are fine. I couldn't even tell which was which until I paused on a blurry shot. Even then, your mom couldn't tell the difference. I think multipass should be saved for jittered lights and stills." Again, good words here. I think it's a good point, that a non animator, representing the majority of potential viewers wouldn't notice the blur difference. A buffer is very very very fast! "Again, thanks for posting. I watch all of your efforts. It's encouraging to see your constant improvement. We need animators on "Tin Woodman of Oz."" I'm looking forward to helping!!! Thanks for taking the time to comment! Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  3. Also did a render with mulit pass to examine the different motion blur. http://www.vrcops.com/vids/R2PBlurMPA.mov A bit painful to render but the motion blur results are pretty darn nice.... hmm. Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  4. Hey tenez, I was actually going to put the flip in, but I lost steam, so to speak towards the end of this excersize.... so totally see what your saying with it. From different angels it doesn't look so accomidating to a flip though.... Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  5. Me like ... are you going to have her sneaking around in the dark? Thanks for checking it out! Still ironing out the script! Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  6. Hey guys, even though I'm posting this in the WIP section, this is a finished deal, as I've taken this as far as I want to take it practice wise. From the comments - worked on the run cycle and redid the grab for one hand instead of 2... There are a few issue still, much coming from the fact that the run cycle on the path ended with the wrong foot for the jump to the pole... Anyhows, this was good practice for me. I rendered one with no blur and one with A-buffer blur. http://www.vrcops.com/vids/Run2PoleQA.mov http://www.vrcops.com/vids/Run2PoleBlurA.mov Later Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  7. Talk about showing some good stuff!!! I'd much rather "see" something like this than Tripping the rift. Nice work! Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  8. Hey John, thanks for the comments. I worked a little more on the run cycle and then redid the rest. Have not done anything with the hair yet... Post in a little bit Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  9. Hey Python.... the server was probably restarting when you checked.... It's up now. Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  10. Hi VF, thanks for the reply! Yeah, the hair I'll do at the very end when the character motion is finished. Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  11. Thanks! And yep! Definately needs to be sped up. I'm sorta happy I lost this one to an errant delete, I can start a new one with all these comments in mind. Thanks people Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  12. Hey guys, I spent sometime this afternoon putting this clip together - all just personal animation excercises... Anyhows this was the first raw pass, just a bit more than blocking stuff out. Went to make some changes and somehow deleted the models foot nulls. So, I'm gonna start from scratch again, but here's what it looked like.... http://www.vrcops.com/vids/PoleGrabB.mov Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  13. Yes, that would be bad! Also, remember, if anyone asks you if you're a god YOU SAY YES!!!!!!! Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  14. That was pretty cool. Interesting style... sort of a stop motion look to it. Very clean looking too! Nice Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  15. Yes, she does Beyond that, nice character, i like the motion to! Good job! Are ur 2 super heros gonna be love birds (like in the incredibles) or hate each other horribly and get into massive battle scenes (cool, i advise making a mini film out of this!) Ben Hey Ben, thanks for checking it out. I have a couple scenarios for a short working out.... one of em is in line with one of your guesses! To be seen what I actually produce though.... for me thinking about it is entirely different then actually making it! Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  16. As Bell Biv DeVoe once said - "You can't trust a big butt and a smile!" Thanks dude, Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  17. Thanks Nos. The animation was just slapped together.... a big sketchy still. Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  18. Hey guys, I just finished my next model and wanted to post. I think I hit a new personal record for myself here 2 days to model 2 days to rig Anyhows, take a looksee if you get a min http://www.vrcops.com/vids/JumpA.mov Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  19. Hi Johnny, thanks for the note kid. The mouth doesn't visit the pure nuetral pose at all during the animation. I don't know what problem you're talking about, specifically.
  20. Seven, so that's just brilliant! Are you saying that there should be music playing in the background while the animation is happening???? Ingenious.Where do you come up with this stuff:) Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  21. I was just kidding about the hate and strong words thing Scott! We'll see what developes as I try a couple different things. One thing is, he has to have something of teeth. So, we continue on! Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  22. Thanks Doug! I sort of like it too. I really want to make that look the best it can, so I might have to add some sort of serperation element for top and bottom... also maybe something that will help it look toothy, like a couple black lines.... Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  23. Hmmm, Hate.... very strong word! The teeth are still in the whole trial phase. I think it still has promise as is, but needs more testing. speeding up the rate at which the white appears and vanishes actually draws more attention to the area. I'm going to try seperating the bottom and top and also putting new seperate geometry in to see how it looks. I do also think that being able to see the clip over and over again is different than just watching it say on tv.... I don't think it would be so horrible, but more tests to be attempted. Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  24. Hey Doug, it's from Mystery Men. If you have not seen it, I'd say go rent it.... if you like funny super hero spoofs! Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
  25. Thanks guys. Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com
