  1. Looking pretty cool Tai! I'm not familiar with the sadness game, but it's a nice model. I also like the stylized nose. -Ethan
  2. Man good times man, good attention to detail in the model. If you can manage to turn some of those details into textures. It should make for some sweet animating! Keep it up! -Ethan
  3. niice test thanks for sharing! You're saying the jittering is caused by interlacing? Do you need some 24P or 30P footage to test it out with? I've always wanted to get syntheyes... this would be yet one more reason to add to the pile... Grr... if only money grew on trees... -Ethan
  4. wow.. that makes your eyes hurt nearly cool though.
  5. lol... wow....I'm trying to picture it ... Nan... no no couldn't be not a chance. Nice snout -Ethan
  6. It's 3D's best kept secret , at least it was...
  7. Here threw together a demonstration for you... It's a flash movie. SWF. I zipped it. Apparently you can't upload SWF files.. -Ethan MirrorFlip.zip
  8. Yes.. I don't think you will find a more more helpful and freindly Forum on the net for a 3D app -Ethan
  9. uh.. technically can you even sell your old version? I mean think about it, that means they are upgrading from your serial number which you already upgraded from. Don't know what Hash would do if they get an upgrade request about someone elses serial number. -Ethan
  10. Also, at $199 for educational, $299 for commercial versions, it's less risk to try then nearly any 3D package on the market! -Ethan
  11. ah very good improvements to the spinework around the eyes! Looks fairly animatable to me...did you construct the mouth so that it can open to a cavity? [edit] a note though I think I liked the somewhat more square jaw of the earlyer version, might just be personal taste but this one seems to be having nearly to gentle a jaw line for a male. -Ethan
  12. That's kinda pretty matt! -Ethan
  13. lol... somehow it seems like it's missing one more block on the top to make it a cross. Tis Cool lookin. -Ethan
  14. Nice character work.. do you want critique on the animation? -Ethan
  15. I think you are continuing to improve him! Perphaps one thing with the eyes is there doesn't appear to be any tear duct. So the eyes have a perfect almond shape which comes across as unnatural. Just a thought. -Ethan
  16. sheese that's depressing case -Ethan
  17. Congrats on your image getting selected! As always supurb modeling, some nice publicity for AM too! -Ethan
  18. You're making good progress shelton, the only thing that bothers me is the eyelids. The shapes you have around the eyes themselves are not as "anatomically correct" as the rest of the face. Unless you are going for a more cartoony look I would suggest taking a look at some anatomical eye shapes. You could get them alot more real by just adding a few more spline rings to contour them more. This isn't the best example as it's somewhat asian in appearance but it might give you some idea of what i'm talking about. If it would help I can post a wireframe close up of these eyes. keep it up! -Ethan
  19. Sweet! thanks for posting the example with the stable chair for reference. It is very cool that a free program is capable of working so well.... hmmm. the possibilities! -Ethan
  20. Cool Al! I've downloaded Icarus at some point but have never gotten a chance to play with it. I almost wish I could see shaggy just standing there scratching his head so that you could see how well the sync was. With him sliding along it's a little hard to tell if the sync is good or not, but it does seem like he's fairly locked to the picture. Thanks for posting the example, -Ethan
  21. Very nice modeling and texturing... has a good solid feel to it. -Ethan
  22. Thanks for the invitation Martin, I think I just might be able to work on a shot or two after the Holiday rush, it would certainly be a neat learning expirience! Plus i've always wanted to animate with some characters that were actually rigged by poeple who know what they are doing! Bruce, interesting idea I hadn't thought of trying to get it shown at a nearby theater, think i'd be scared to unless I could create something to a higher level of perfection. Guess it wouldn't hurt to check into though, thanks! -Ethan
  23. Thanks so much for the encouraging words guys! It's nice to get some feedback from poeple who know how much work it takes to put an animation together! Most poeple can only compare it to the last 3D feature film they saw in the theater where 700 poeple worked for 3 years to create something that looks insanely good. Rodney, I think if you were a fly on the wall during the process you would have just seen alot of screaming and hair pulling I sure would love to bring up the bar and put together a series of commercial quality shorts... but alas, where's the time and is there a market? -Ethan
  24. Thanks for the additonal thoughts Martin, you're right, staring at what are essentially talking heads for 15 minutes does get a bit old. Animating is the fun part, the modeling and rigging doesn't come so well though. I've just about vowed to have characters for another episode of Theodore N' Fink professionally modeled and rigged so that I can focus on the animation and cinematography. I will start bringing some stuff from my next project to the forums for critique. Thanks for the comments Dhar! -Ethan
