Andy Gibbons Alien character
NancyGormezano replied to markeh's topic in Work In Progress / Sweatbox
excellent, terrific run - and have to add my ditto for great sound effects. What vers are you using ? -
Another way is just nudge the bone - a keyframe is then created, (and channels are set up for this bone)- then delete the keyframe, and then hit force keyframe. This will create a keyframe exactly like the last keyframe for the bone. (and again you will probably want to play with the interpolation method between keyframes).

Fun project needs some crits/help

Hmmmm...What a lovely Porkapotamus...up to mischief, are we? -
What blew me away in your entry was the intriguing, imaginative story that was being told - took it out of the ordinary for me - and of course it was excellently executed. Loved it. (as a matter of fact there were many entries this time that really had interesting stories as well)

This may be a bit much - but: after creating a key frame at frame 5 for your left arm (any value - doesn't matter) - go back to frame 0, copy the frame for the left arm (select left arm) and then go back to frame 5 and paste. Make sure you have the correct buttons at the very bottom of A:M big window pushed depending on what you want to copy (key bone, or branch or model, with translate, rotate, scale, etc) You might also want to play with the curve editor (switch at bottom of timeline) for your channels for the left arm & set it to "hold" or linear or 0-spline, or for frames 0-5 (go to frame 0, select cps in channel editor, right click on channel select interpolation, select method) not sure - but I suspect there is better explanation in TAOM (with pictures)

Those are without a doubt fabulously creative and appealing characters - Given how amazing "Perk" turned out , I'm sure to be blown away by this next production. What a great opportunity for participation. Wow! Go for it people!

another very fun one...You always seem to snag my interest (of course I will resist mentioning anything about someone being dropped on their head when they were a baby - just waaaay too obvious...) I haven't forgotten...yet (I'm old, not as old as you of course, so you may be in luck). hee hee...someday, somewhere, when you least expect it...

under tools/options/render - and you have advanced checked - change quality to shaded - show decals is an option 4th from bottom, it does not show when rendering to final - you can also set these options when rendering to a file (under options tag) - must have quality = shaded in order to set decals on/off - then can change back to final quality. and yes tga is a good format. you might experience a temporary glitch when changing decals on/off and rendering - just click in window (to refresh, perhaps) - then try rendering again (still not understanding why you see decals in frame 0 & not other frames tho, hope this helps you)
-
not sure why you see decals on frame 0 & not in non frame zero - Perhaps the option for showing decals in your rendering settings (shaded mode) is not set to ON.

fabulous work!...amazing!....& soooo depressing...

I like very much how you refined the second clip but ...but... - since I might have led you astray with respect to twinning (she says sheepishly)... I actually prefer the final ending pose in the first clip. In the second, the left arm ends too wimpishly - needs more tension in it (which is what you had in the first clip) ... not sure how to fix. It's really done quite well. I wish I were able to do as well, then I might be more likely to come up with a suggestion...

You might try having an animated decal (series of tga's) applied as a transparency map always at 100% - where the hole part goes from black to white in some number of steps, and one animates the frame number rather than the percentage of transparency.
-
Looking very good - Love how it starts out - up to and including when he says "have a point' - after that I am distracted by the sorta twinning of the arm/hand motion - it's of course not exact twinning - but the general movement is too similar - Personally, would also like to see more exaggerated facial expression - but perhaps that's a matter of the lighting, and a lot of head movement making it difficult to read. love the character as well

from the website: "Despiser" is the tightly scripted tale of a washed-up, out-of-work artist ... making an unexpected visit to purgatory ... Yikes!!! - Sounds realllyyyyy scary - Is this a true story? (except for the washed up part) Love your demo reel - and yes parts can be edited
-
I like them both - can't decide which I prefer - they both mess with my mind but in a different way - very good ...
-
oooo yeah - fun & clever
-
Because they can... Any ol' shlump who struts around in a bright yellow jumpsuit is just begging to be taken down a notch. My only objection to the animation is it looks like the death ray missed. We (me) need to see a post-fried thom. And I would like to see the camera work be a little more obvious in communicating a fraidy virtual camera person.

NancyGormezano replied to a topic in Work In Progress / Sweatbox
Excellent demos ! - but they started up too quick for me to count ...Slimbrowser - winxp pro - cable (I'm slow) -
Very very nice - as usual - & I love the mystery as well
-
Excellent work you two ... And yes - it passed the cat freak test - she was absolutely & totally intrigued - she didn't know which to go after - the screen or the speakers - obviously sounded & looked like a very tasty morsel to her
-
You might try increasing the transparency of the model over time in your chor. until it is 100% transparent
-
have to agree with everyone - these are great, appealing characters - will make a terrific "buddy" story

wow! nice drama, very interesting lighting, for a great creepy beautiful yet suitably grotesque model. (ditto shiver)
