  1. Behind you!!!!
  2. Oh!? I thought you detailed it right down to the p*ss splashes.
  3. Nice! The handle seems back to front. It points outward....on mine anyway.

Hum, I just wrote something, but the message isn't there now. Anyway, the left is too dark but the right is too light here.

Is ther a shader on the hands? It looks like they have a glow to them. It might be the angle, but it looks like he's cross-eyed. This is possibly your best model to date.
  6. Awww. I love how he falls. Though it could also be funny watching him land on his ass. The grin at the end is perfect IMO. I can see why people think it's too fast. But what I get from that is he's surprised that he landed back on the planet and he's childish with nothing hurting him. In fact the fall was like a roller coaster ride! He'll probably end up doing it again! Oooo.....I'm picturing him running on it and jumping from planet to planet. Haha.....spinning moons on his finger. Throwing them and using the gravity of a far planet to loop the moon back to him. lol This has such potential. PS I also like the rings. The only thing I'd worry about is them possibly limiting the characters movement.
  7. Heck these are as good as darktree and other such plugins. I wonder if you have a "burned skin" lying around?

He just got twice as good!
  9. It could be part of the plot...either the planet is supposed to be missing a ring(although it looks too small for that planet he's on) or the character is being mischievous. Incidently, on 114.18, the rings intersect the planet and that might have been putting us off before. Actually...his arms intersect the rings all through the fall.
  10. Oooo...just looking at it some more. I wonder if squashing the planet when he lands would make much difference....hmmm.
  11. I think it's that the planet slows down pretty fast too. Maybe it should spin faster while he's in the air and slow just before he lands? Then again it could be the influence of gravity that slows it so fast.
  12. Really cool. I can only guess at what the whole animation is going to be about!

It's coming on! There seems to be more hair on the belly. See here: http://www.hollywoodshoppes.com/thestore/prods/ADVG220T.html http://www.animalyawns.com/Primates/GORILLA_YAWN_6-01.JPG
  14. Yes please. I thought it was photoshopped.
  15. Erm, I missed this in the vote. But I probably would have voted it sixth (if it existed) in preference as others were so good. You should enter it in the mechanical contest. But in general, I'd be proud of myself if I made such an image. Oh just one question....is that a hook at the back of the plane? How does that work?
  16. Hey that's impressive. Wouldn't think it was a first model. Em, what is he?
  17. Very nice. I think abit more dirt/streaks would add to it. It looks brand new right now which might be what you want. Also, the edges of the arches especially are sharp. You might think about rounding them off with some extra splinage.
  18. Ooo...purdy. It's well dug in. I like the ground too.
  19. Man that's cool. I may buy that someday. The price is excellent too. I think it a good idea to keep them low and maybe the sales will be higher....rather than vice versa.
  20. Got it in one Paul. To start off, my crab isn't up to that one. But then I probably didn't spend as much time or get paid for mine Aside from that, to add all those spikes as geometry would result in a high patch mesh and low count meshes is AM's strength. But the solutions are just as capable....it's just a different way of doing it.
  21. Thanks guys. I never thought about using hair. That might just work. The pincers do look out of shape....I think it happened when I rotated them for this shot. Also, I used Jeffs free light rig to render it. I don't think I'll get round to making him move or anything else though. But if anyone wants him, just say and I'll send him to you.
  22. I saw a crab model on another forum and wondered if AM would be capable of similar. I think I convinced myself that AM is...mostly. The only thing missing from the model is about a hundred spikes. Not only do I not have time to model all that but I did some tests with displacement maps and if they didn't need so many patches, they would be perfect for such details. Anyway, this is as far as I'm taking it for now and wanted to show it.
  23. Here's a post that might help with that: http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10495&hl=dirt
  24. Just noticed....what the heck is the yellow fish saying?
  25. Aha! So that was yours! Good stuff...love the fish.
