  1. I can't really see the individual adjustments, but looking at the first and last image shows a huge difference. I wonder if his face is rigged...
  2. SSS only works in a "Render to file" as it needs all the elements in the shot to be calculated. So, it won't work with section rendering (Q/Shift Q).
  3. There's your problem right there. There's no stamp for that image! You must have deleted it accidentally. I was trying to find the image on the plane, but it's not there as it's not stamped on.
  4. Weird. I don't recall such a problem with v11.1. Do other bumps work? Maybe it's the model. If you want to send it to me I can test it out.
  5. Try a higher value such as 44400 and see if you get anything. What version are you using?
  6. Nice! So you made it in AM? Recently? For a particular project?
  7. LOL A strategically placed white spot! But you missed some bits. This should be fun to watch progress. I thought you might do that character that was fishing with fairies. Hopefully you'll do that in the future.
  8. Yep. And P makes them sharp again. Nice and handy.
  9. That and it's a pet hate. Plus if I didn't correct you, who would!
  10. Nice! The window looks "poly-ized" though. If you don't want that look, select it and press the O (beside the P key) key.
  11. Yes, that would be "safe than sorry". But you're excused if English isn't your first language. Carry on.
  12. Cool idea. I think you should take advantage of this Mark. If everyone rigged one of the Extra DVD characters, then there'd be a whole stock of them ready to go with the new rig. Less work for you later. But it might be more prudent to do the one model for now.
  13. You would be upgrading to v14 at this stage (or at least have access to it). SSS (how light goes through wax) has been added and there are render improvements. Also, some nice new touches here and there.....like bones turning blue when your on the same frame as they're keyframes. Also, you'll have the latest model format and won't have any incompatibility issues as you may have had with v12. I'd say it's worth it and Martin would appreciate the extra few bob to mend his shoes.
  14. Great work Lee! It's a shame he has zombie eyes though. Just tweaking the upper lids to be a little above the pupil arcs would make a big difference.
  15. Yeah, I think a few tapers here and there (eg the feet) would improve it. But I think that's the look for the project.
  16. Very cool. Keep us posted.
  17. Embed all first. Then the images are consolidated.
  18. Here's how you get your libraries to appear in AM. Obviously instead of the hard drive letter, you should use your cd drive letter: http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2387 Now can you post a screen capture of where your trying to click to select the bone.....
  19. I think the blades should turn. (In the first one) In the second one, they should be faster and I think they should turn counter to each other......like their meshing into each other....as cogs do. Looking very nice. Is the turret turning? If/when it does, I think it should move in quick turns.
  20. The flashes still don't look as "glowy" as they could be. You may or may not know there are glow settings in the chor properties:
  21. Not at all. You're just dealing with more complex issues than you used to. Robert: If the flashes are sprites, perhaps the translation isn't being updated in realtime. Try pressing spacebar when you expect a change and see if that's the problem.
  22. Why is there a bone (yellow arrow) going down? If you just want the turrets to rotate then the bone sticking out would do it. Or maybe I'm missing something.
  23. Ah....British sterling....you'll probably be getting it for half price. Better buy two to keep Martin happy.
  24. I know what you mean about the object not always matching the surface. I think having the object more spline heavy than the surface should solve that problem.
