  1. Thank you very much Hayvern for taking the time... that's where that 5 point patch goes to keep the flow both ways.
  2. William - thanks for your reply - here is what I did, but I had to use a 3 point patch - is that avoidable? You can see a slight crease there. Is there a better way of doing it? Thanks again.
  3. Hi - this is where I am running into modeling problems, because I just don't know how to bring the cp's to an end. Here is a pic of what I am talking about How would you bring the frogs nose to a point where is would have a nice smooth mesh. Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks - Eric
  4. Good eye heyvern.. I didn't even notice that. If I get the job I'll make sure to do that with all the dipping items. Thank you for pointing it out.
  5. The client wanted it to look more like a "cartoon" - so I rendered it out in toon mode. The lighting sucks, but we'll see if it's a go with him.
  6. The chocolate on the strawberry is a copy of the bottom lower part of the mesh and scaled up a bit and the top spline set in - it sits in the chocolate bowl and just brought up when the strawberry comes up. I agree on the displacement when dipped - I'll do that and maybe have a couple of chocolate drips fall off the strawberry when pulled up... if I get the job.
  7. Hi - I put together a quick animation of a strawberry dipping into a bowl of chocolate together for a potential website client that wants to illustrate what they offer customers at a business he is opening up. Gotta love this program - hopefully with the example I can contract the website job with him - thank you Hash Strawberry Dipped in Chocolate
  8. Hi - just finished up the dinosaur project - wanted to thank everyone for all my answered posts about materials. I had no experience w/ materials and decided to do a practice project to get some experience with working with them. I used materials on the dinosaur and the scene for the short animation I put him in. Any suggestions or anything you notice I could have done differently or better, please let me know - Thanks - Eric The dinosaur is the first character on the second row www.3dcharacteranimation.biz

    Thanks for your help.

    Dust

Hi - I am playing around with the dust effect - my character jumps and lands with both feet - the dust is too "round" looking - is there a setting in there that would disperse it a little different like swirl - so it doesn't look like a perfect round ball of dust? Thanks - E

    Hair

Hi Ken - no, it is a new model, but I did what you suggested and reopened the program and that fixed the problem - computer 101.. if there is an issue reboot. Thanks for the help.

    Hair

Hi - I created a small round hair ball creature with eyes for a scene that I brushed and lengthened some of the hairs, and when rendered from the model view it is fine, but when I drop the character in the chor - all the hairs are not brushed or modified - what did I do wrong? Thank you.
  13. Very nice - I haven't tried AM to live action yet - I'll have to check out the CD.
  14. Hi Filip - I had already updated to the newest driver, and that had fixed the black cp problem, but someone on that thread suggested opening up the model - saving it closing the program and reopening it back up and that worked. So we are all good. Thanks again - hopefully that will be the last question. -Eric
  15. Hi - I just purchased A:M Paint and everything set up fine. I am in Animation Master v14 and have my model in the window- - Right Click - Plug-ins -3D Painter My model is now in the window of AM Paint - click on Create Decal Tiles It runs through that fine but when I click on "Start Projection Paint" - the screen turns white Has anyone run into this problem - not sure what I am doing wrong - any help would be appreciated. Thanks - Eric
  16. Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions on materials on this and other posts I am starting to get it a bit. I bought A:M Paint and want to see if I can figure out how to make stripes running down his back. - Eric
  17. Hi Filip - I just changed it - and this time when I clicked on 3D Painter it actually brought the model into the window in 3D Painter, before it would just open up the program, but not bring the model in. I also emailed you this same question, so please ignore the email. Thanks again for your help - Eric
  18. Yes Dhar I have a model in the modeling window. I went to the 'Options...->Folders->Show Folders for:Extensions (hxt files)'. under "hxt files" it is pointing to Library as you can see in the image - so I put the file 3DPainterPlugin_14.hxt in the libraries folder and it is pulling up fine now is okay to have in this folder instead of the hxt folder - or should I redirect the hxt files location under "options" Thanks - Eric
  19. I bought the A:M Painter program - I have version 14 of Animation Master and placed the 3DPainterPlugin_14.hxt file in the "hxt" folder of Animation Master. But when I right click on the modelling window in Animation Master there is not a "3D Painter" option in the pop up menu to open it up directly in AM. I restarted the computer and reopened the program and still no 3D Painter option. Do you know what I am doing wrong? The program opens up and is working fine as a free stading program - so there are no issues there. Thanks - Eric
  20. Thanks everyone, it looks like I will be buying it tomorrow - after I play around with it I'll take Largentos advice and buy William's CD. Thanks for responding - Eric
  21. Hi - I am thinking of buying A:M Painter and wanted to get some imput from anyone that has bought it and uses it. Can you flatten a model or portion of a model and apply a decal within the painter program - or is the flattening done in Animation Master? Any pros and cons of the program - I would appreciate any input. It is an inexpensive program, so I will probably just buy it and try it out. Thank you - Eric
  22. Hi John - thanks for your reply - that's the deal - I don't know. I didn't know you could texture with a decal? I thought to get a texture you had to create a material. I just need to start from square one - that's why I was looking for a basic material tutorial - like lizard skin or something. Can you add a decal and a material to an object? I have been looking through the Technical Reference, but it is a little too informational than tutorial. Thanks - Eric
  23. Can anyone link me too any good materials tutorials? - I am trying to figure out the basics of creating them. Here is a link to a really good one, but a little advanced for me at this point. http://www.colins-loft.net/free/mats/Demon_Skin_Material.htm Thankyou - Eric
