  1. I have to go with what everyone else has said. Just brilliant!! I love the cartoony character design too which has so much more appeal than all the `photorealistic` stuff you see.
  2. That was great! I really enjoyed it and that was just the very highly compressed version as I don`t have broadband at home. The action sequences were really well done. I`m going to download the high quality version at work tomorrow. There are a few Star Wars nuts there that will probably love your film
  3. Well said Rodney And congratulations on your appointment as moderator here. Volunteered eh?! Very brave... but definitely the right person for the job as you`re always eager to help people and offer solutions. You`re made for this.
  4. I`ve managed to adjust the fog at rendertime. Apparently Hash are looking into why it`s not possible to change it in the camera properties. Here is a new pic with volumetric light. I will finish and animate the scene now before I post again.
  5. Thanks for the comments everyone. Very much appreciated. Zack and grubber - Yes I intend to apply the new hair. I will post some pics soon. Age234 - I`m going to have to look up Microsoft Bob now! I wouldn`t like to be associated with Microsoft in any way so may have to make some changes KingSalami - I based the head on a King Charles Spaniel that a someone brings in to work. He has big bulbous brown eyes (the dog that is!) but on the model the eyelids are at their most open so I will get the standard eye shape when I sort out the pose sliders. Jfirestene - As requested, here is a wireframe. As you can see, I`ve already tweaked the head a bit and will also go over the rest of the model. Thanks again all.
  6. This is a dog I started working on. Obviously he`s not finished but it would be interesting to hear peoples comments on it before I carry on with the tweaking and stuff.
  7. You`ve been busy! I remember seeing the Jester before and liked the character. All your others are just as interesting. Look forward to the short.
  8. Amazing! The facial expressions, all the little secondary movements....well, everything. Brilliant stuff
  9. Great timing. I particularly liked the hop and the flailing arms. Great!
  10. A beautiful image! Everything works well for me. Have you done any animation yet?
  11. Those images look great Darklimit. That`s the sort of eerie atmosphere I want to get. The experiments I have done with dust work really well in an animation with a terbulence material added. I do prefer the first of my two images but I really need to see the more distant trees also. A solution may be to have the fog clear to reveal them during the shot. I will experiment more tonight with the fog and maybe also add a cookie image to the light that Iham Wrong mentioned.
  12. I haven`t tried it yet but I intend to. I want to get the fog sorted out first. This is another render without fog but with dust. Obviously the trees further back aren`t finished yet. They are images on two layers. If I add fog at different distances from the camera the renders appear identical to me. I must be doing something wrong.
  13. I`ve been experimenting with fog and dust on my spooky forest. However, I have tried the fog at various settings and all renders appear the same to me. Has anyone got any idea`s?
  14. Great character you`ve got there, especially if it`s your first. I like the design a lot. It should look great in motion so I hope you get it rigged okay. Save a copy of your character model under a different name and experiment with adding bones to the copy following the tutorial as Robcat2075 said. Good luck with it.
  15. Great camera move....and loads of rubbery looking ducks. I like their bouncy action. Very well done.
  16. Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. Good luck with it all and just keep at it.
  17. I like this shot...quite dynamic. I can imagine Rexie thundering towards them...ground shaking. Did you complete the first episode or are you putting together a promo with key shots from several? Just nosey!
  18. There is some incredibly impressive stuff being done in AM at the moment and, Homeslice, your work is right up there. Thanks for posting the very detailed account of how you solved the cloth. It looks fantastic and has made me realise I should be doing certain things differently in my own modeling.
  19. Hi Sean, I tried to view your animation but I just got a message saying it had been removed by your provider for violating rules. I asume because the file was too large. Maybe you could try again but reduce the image size and/or use a different QT codec? Dale.
  20. That`s a great character and impressive smile. I love the teeth and the gold one is a nice touch. He reminded me of the guy used to play keyboards in Sparks. Shaved his tash off though. Dale.
  21. Okay, I`ve posted an Avi file. http://www.dalemation.free-online.co.uk/Cr...lkAgainWIP.html It`s 5.87MB. I must get broadband soon! Dale.
  22. Hi David, The only reason I post Divx is because when I save a Quicktime from AM the sound is always totally distorted for some reason. The editing program I use doesn`t save Quicktime very well either. The Wav file that comes with AM saves fine but my own Wavs sound okay in AM but are no no good when saved in the QT. If anyone can suggest anything it would help as it would be quicker for me to save a QT file. Sorry David - I will do some experimenting though. Dale.
  23. Hi Nerrazzi, The hair moves based on the characters movement. The software constantly computes the dynamics for the hair as you animate. This does slow down your workflow a bit so I used a version of the model without hair to animate and substituted the completed model for the final render. Hi Xor, Yeah, I think the hair works amazingly well. Hash have done a fantastic job on this. I set the stiffness too low on the hair at first and even the characters brow movement sent the hair into a wild state of activity! About 70% seemed about right for this. You`re very kind about the vote btw. Thanks. Dale.
  24. I intended to enter this in the Hash Animation Comp but didn`t finish it as I got distracted by other things. Must try harder next time. I`ve added hair to my character in AM Version 11 Alpha1. I am stunned by how fantastic this new hair is! http://www.dalemation.free-online.co.uk/CreepyTalkWIP.html Divx 3.2MB Dale.
  25. Zachary-I`d love to be able to say I used some special technique to get the reflections. Nope, it`s just the way it turned out! I used the Brushed Brass material from the Hash Library.
