  1. You need to get your nomenclature right: Do you mean "ABuffer" rendering, or "Multipass" with 1 pass. 1 pass Multipass STILL blurs if you have "soften" on.
  2. One man's antialiasing in another man's blurring. Indeed, when "soften" is turned on, that is a bluring stage in the multipass renderer.
  3. Exactly. Because there can be 100,000s of hairs (sometimes millions!), there is also a complicated level of code to only allocate those that could possibly be visible (in frame, in front of other geometry).
  4. All of the particle code is used... Random positioning, dynamics, the concept of a "system."
  5. Yes it does. If creates A LOT of geometry, especially in the raytracer.
  6. That looks and animates great. (Should a won).
  7. I just want to add myself to this list of admirers. Great job, Fabrice.
  8. Matt. You and your brother have sure been doing good work lately. It's a pleasure to have your inquisitive minds, (you actually research your problems). I hope there's more where you came from.
  9. You guys just let me know if you want this dweeb blocked.
  10. Niels; Please ask questions in the context of the exercises of "The Art of Animation:Master" (TaoA:M), the book that comes with the software. This thread is disjointed and premature. How far have you gone in TaoA:M? TaoA:M is set up for newbies. By asking questions out of turn, you only frustrate the people trying to help you. Lot's of folks will jump in to help, as you've seen here.
  11. David; Write up the steps of how you made "Froggy Boxing," including pictures. Every kid in every school we sell to will make you their hero. (And it will help A:M too.) Thanks.
  12. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha... That was SO STUPID, (in a good way). You're a stud, Dennis.
  13. Wow, Stian. You don't need my compliments, but you have them again.
  14. Hey Mark, nice to see you posting your artwork again. She looks sweet.
  15. David, have you done a video yet on how to use Squetch? If not, can you? If you're too busy - who can?
  16. That was VERY nice: writing, voice work, art direction - it was all good. Congratulations.

    The Retro

Wowzer! I want one of those.
  18. Make sure you use A:M Compositor. That's what is was designed for.
  19. SoulCage always makes me feel so insecure, (what if they left for some other, more prestigious software?) You guys are geniuses.
  20. It sure feels like a movie, Christina.
  21. Hold that in reserve until we've determined the IK/FK switch is a bum. (There's good reasons not to do the blend.)
