  1. Hi there, back from the Philippines and into work mode, i am now official AM user again. After beeing away from AM for about 5 years, i will have plenty of questions. Right away i am wondering if there is something like HDR lightning in AM? Best regards Heiner
  2. Thanks for the answer! Helps a lot, and i can stop experimenting! Regards Heiner
  3. Hi there, currently i am still on the demo on V.17. Since i am going on holiday on the 12.12. i will buy my regular Version when i come back in January, to make the licence last longer ;-) Right now i wanted to install the TSM 2, but its not showing up. My questions are: Is the TSM not working with the demo? And, is the TSM 2 working with the regular version of V17? Thanks for helping, best regards Heiner
  4. You are right, my fault. When you import and have the bitmap as Material, then the existing UV Layout comes as a stamp. Very nice! Thanks Heiner
  5. Hi there, yes, its the UVmap i am talking about. Regards Heiner
  6. Hi there, Since it is now possible to import OBJs i am wondering, if it is possible, to use its UVs (if there are some of course). If yes, how do i acess them. Besides, i am wondering, if the OBJ importer which is implemented in AM now, is the one by Arthur Walasek? Best regards, Heiner
  7. Hello there, so, I was traveling the 3D world the wide and the far, and i saw lots of things, and i came back to A:M. I did so, because in wide parts of its functionality its still way ahead of everything else. What i will do now, try to incorporate A:M in working pipelines, and get the best of more than one App, thats it ... Cheers!
  8. Hi all, it seems as if its the great time of the comebacks. Looking trough the forum is saw that not only me, but some other users are coming back to A:M. So, i had to use other software for a couple of years. Wrote books about and managed to get hired by one of the major developers of 3D software as a technical editor. Now, established in my new job, i return with my personal projects to A:M, because A:M still rocks. One of my clients will sponsor me the latest version, and for the time beeing, i monitor the forum for interesting topics. I am especialy interested in building work pipelines, which involve A:M and other software. Since the whole industry admitted, that a quad poly ist the purest thing to have in a model, the world outside of A:M got closer and import and export should not be such a super serious issue as it was in the old days. I also noticed, that the mentioning of other software in the forum is now not a absolute NoNo anymore. Do i understand that right? I am really looking forward to digg into A:M again ... Best regards Heiner Stiller
  9. Hi there, i am a really old and long time user of AM, but a couple oyears i had to move on to other apps because of my job. Now i have the chance, time and budget again to digg into AM again. Therefore a small question: If i by a yearly licence now, which will cover V16, as far as i can see, will i be alsoi entiteled to get V17 when it is released inside my one year licence period? Best regards Heiner
  10. Oooops, by accident i put that in the wrong forum .... sooooory!!! Can an admin please put it in the AM general forum?
  11. Hi there, i am using V15 on my laptop. Now that ***** gives me a hard time with lots of little anoying "features": Videos are crasing the system while playing, i can not access my catalyst controll center and some more things like such. I think, i need to setup my system new from the scratch. What happens with my AM licence? Can i reinstall it if its the same computer, the same OP? A little lost, Heiner
  12. So Folks, here comes Buster! After this char, there is just one more to go. After that, i will have to apply all the changes, the client will come up with. And then do the rigging and smartskinning. I allready did some tests, so i do not expect this to take too long. I will use the TSM 2. I have quite some experience with that, and its a reliable tool. Cheers Heiner
  13. Hi folks, i did some refining on the last char, and made a little sheet with details in the works, if you are interested. Cheers Heiner
  14. Nice toony style, nice lightning, but i would go for something with more soft shadows. In my opinion the shadows are to clearly. Cheers Heiner
  15. Thanks David, yeah, i also have a good feeling, but, however, i am still working on a good rig, and i am not really happy with the solution i have so far. BTW in the project will be more characters like her, meaning, mor characters sharing basic shape. So i am trying to come up with something, which i can easily adopt for the other chars. Cheers Heiner
  16. An on goes the show, here is the next character. Now jut two more are missing then i can start to finish and touchup these guys and then, hopefully the audio is ready and its happy animating. Let me know what you think about it Cheers Heiner
  17. Volumetric light ... hahaha The lights drove me crazy, so i faked them. Simple geometry with a simple alpha gradient. Worked perfect for me, is much faster than real volumetrics and more easy to handle! in the landscape picture there is no toon shading at all. The las picture has been post processed in PD Pro with Gertrudis. The whole project is about a possible tv series, but the people which initiated this are from the US. But i am also open for projects from Germany off course. Cheers Heiner
  18. And here is the enviroment after some post work in Project Dogwaffle and Gertrudis. How do you like it? Cheers Heiner
  19. A fairytale wood, which will act a the background for some of these character to stroll around in. Cheers Heiner
  20. Hmmm, yes, i do the "breaking up" allready. But sometimes i have to assemble the stuff in modelling. I just made a tree, and the roots got so complex, that i had to break it appart, then, when reassembling and reconnecting, it took about 30 seconds to draw a attaching spline and another 30 seconds to attach it. Not for the impatient, no Sir, not at all ... Cheers Heiner
  21. Cool work, all warhammer enthusiasts will be dazzled. By the way: When i am modelling more complex shapes, i allways get to the point, where A:M gets rrrrreeeeeally slow. Your models sometimes are also very dense, do you also suffer of this slow down? And if so, what are you doing against it? Cheers, Heiner
  22. Here it goes, the third character for the project. Slowly i get the screen populated. Aside from that, the project gets bigger then i thought ... maybe i need some help when it comes to animating all these dudes ... Cheers, Heiner
  23. Here comes another character for the same project! Enjoy, Heiner
  24. Hmmm, when i look at renderings, i miss the toon lines? They seem not to be there at all ... you sure that you not only made the settings, but also turned toon rendering really on? Cheers Heiner
  25. Hello Jirad, here is the toon settings i am using. I am wondering, if you keep the nice SSS look when you using toon rendering. If you try, please post results, anxious to see em! Cheers Heiner
