  1. i would allso say try rendering a run through in wireframe only , really fast and shows you how its moving from there its your choice
  2. well considring that im pretty new my self id say your doing ok , one bit of advise that i found make making models good is get the base down, which you have done then pick one part and slowly but surely work out from there , i my self get moders block when working all the time as i like big robots and such and want to put 15 gagilion things in , its at this time my brain crashes and i fall into a coma so dont do it that way
  3. ok while good not exactly what i was looking for , pretty much what im asking is (A) is there a way to make a tube that is closed at one end fill with hair that moves along the leath of it or ( is there a good way to texture a tube to look like its hair
  4. ok i made a try with making hair and have wound up with what looks like a decent head made out of tubes with points at the end , my question is what would be the best way to texture the modle to look like hair , preferably a red head deal
  5. Ok one thing that might ba causing this is your resolution and what range your rendering at something rendered at 400X400 will look a lot fuzzyer than at 1200X1200 , give it a try
  6. ok i have a model ripped from a game and unfortunatly its in poly mode and as most of you have told me just rebuold it from scratch , so this s what im going to do , one thing i would like is to be able to take the polygon model and lock it in place so i can see it but cant click on it or select it , any one know how to do this as im sure its going to bea real easy but i cant find out how to do it right know
  7. ok thankts to help from you guys ive been able to extact a model from a game and then import it to 3ds max remove unneeded models and export to AM , thing is when importing it asks for a testuxe file and i point it to where it is , it than says its not a valid file and fails to load the textures and the entire model is plasted in grey, any thoughs
  8. ok i need a sort of psi-fi bolt for a gun im doing and so far i eather get some thing that looks like a greay blob of something that dose not render at all , any ideas or suggestions

  12. OK heres the deal i try and import a .obj fils i made using an extraction program , it gets to the point where it says imported X where X is the polygons and points and such , then the whole thing freezes any thoughts

  20. ok i have made a model for a tank with a bottom and top and have attached the bones only problem is that its not rotating right when on an angle, i know that there is a way to make it only rotate 360 degrees on only one axis but i for the life of me cant find out how. also the needed setting to do this would be nice
  21. ok i have a circle for the mos part and i wat to attack a few lines to it only problem is that every time i do it warps is there a way to fix this
  22. also what version of am do you have as anything before 15 has vista issues( i run vista and upgaded to 15 to that reasion alone)
  23. so once again asking any one for a female model thats compleate on the top that would make a good fairy
