  10. ok if ur using vista , which i think you may be you may have your security settings a little high , select the entire AM folder and take ownership of it and set your self to full permissions even if it ss you allready have it , also on the cant modify part check and see is the model it self is right protected ( right click properties )
  11. check ur dirext x and upgrade if need be , if ur using vista try setting AM to run in admin mode , or set it to run as if in xp , do this in it compatbility tab. try fully uninstalling AM running a registry cheker ( suggest the safety scanner at www.onecare.com) then reinstall, check and see if ur anti virus may be blocking parts of AM. check your video cards drivers and update if nessisary , check and make sure ur AM version is not to old. umm thats all i can think of for know
  12. ok i have an action that im tring to make where a fan blade turns 90 degrees , its a 4 bladed fan and its going pretty fast , i need to know if there is some way to make sure that it dose not monentaraly stop when repeting
  13. ok i have given up textures for my movie and am going to use basic colors for know , what i would like to know is , is there a way to like say 12 blocks in a row like a bick chain and then use that to move?

  16. ok i got a picture of a basic tread and im trying to apply it to a flat surface for a test i was told i coul dget it to repeat and then phisicaly move but am haveing issues geting eather to work any help woul dbe nice
  17. ok iv finished a few models but theres currently a little grey, know i have found quite a few mat files that have some cool effects though it seams to take 3-5 mns just to render a singal frame , my question is is there any way to speed this up so that say 5 mins of film dose not take 3 years to render
  18. i have a texture that i want to rotate around a block at a constant speed continualy is there a way to set a action to get the texture to move on the object with out any stalling parts?
  19. ok i no there are constrants but i apperant dont kno whow to use them i have a model helacopter facing up with its blades and i need the rotor to only spin but when in the animation mode it like to rotate into its own body, what type of constrant do i need and what should it look like to make sure that the blade is all way flat with the body no mater how i spin it ?
  20. well iv asumed that the time line was based on time not frames
  21. you can do a long one if you want though i suggest againts it ,with a decent resolution it can take hours to render more than a few minutes, that is unless you have a lot of spare time
  22. just a question i have , will a texture render the same way every time its rendered or will parts move? ie the borg simbiot texture per say
  23. well the parts thats really confuseing is that 30 second is apperantly 1 minute in the time line and 60 seconds is 2 minutes
  24. ok for a while during testing the time line thing was ok , but know im starting to get confused when 00:30:00 = 01:00:00 and so on , is there any way to set it to use normal time setting ie 00:60:00 = 01:00:00
  25. ok ill explain the sit better , i have a row of 5 2 tracked bots that come over a hil made of sand ( sand texture) that then get blow up by an unknown attacker , while it is a short part of the movie ( bough 5 seconds worth ) there are 10 total tracks that i need to do , also if you could render the effect you sugested as i may not understand compleatly
