It's all hush hush mysterious.

(Gotta get that word o' mouth round of purchasing through the online community first, then the official announcement can be made)

I have to hand it to them... they do know how to raise cash while generating buzz.

They've been quite good at that over the years.

They got $10 from me during their last major campaign... wonder how many others did the same...

After an initial look I never used the program again.

I would be very surprised if it was The Foundry, they had just acquired modo and have their hands full with modo, mari and nuke these days. Unless Messiah offers some features that they would like to integrate into modo... the modo renderer is already pretty good.

Messiah is mainly used for animating... I think it could be the Foundry if they want to get it all integrated into a full featured product.

See you

  • 1 month later...

I use Messiah for importing AM model and then rendering it out with SSS like results. I got the MDD plugin called Dmorph. It has a very fast option to rigging any model and intelligently weight each limb for rigging. But so far nothing beats smart skin of AM, and bone spring dynamics for final rigging. Of those two features have kept me from moving on to other program.

I ask Wegg about Messiah and he said abandon it and is into another 3D program. For which I have already paid for the next upgrade deal. He said because it lack CAD support.
