MMZ_TimeLord Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Hey everyone! I thought I would help out a bit here since I just made these for a small project I'm toying around with. A set of basic hex bolt, hex nut and washer. The corresponding Copper (simple) material is included that the models need. The Bolt is rigged so that the thread and shank length can be adjusted with pose sliders on the model in an Action or Choreography. NOTE: The model is of a 1/4 inch bolt. I have made the model TEN times it's actual size so that I could get the detail without accuracy issues at small dimensions. (Floating point precision limitations) A short video showing the Bolt rigging. CopperFasteners.mp4 Zip file with the models and material. (Created in V17.0 Beta 2, but will load fine in V16.0b) CopperFasteners.zip Cheers! NOTE: After reloading these into a blank project or reloading my own project, the shaft length and thread constraints are broken. Not sure what I've done wrong. This may be related to V17.0 Beta 2 as it does not occur when put into a new project on V16.0b. UPDATE: Removing the Copper Bolt from the project, saving, closing, opening and then re-adding it seemed to cure the issue in V17 Beta 2. Quote

If I open V16.0b and open the bolt by itself and create a new action it works perfectly. BUT, if I open the project I had it in, it's broken. Saving the new project in V16.0b also works fine when reloaded. I suspect something got disconnected in my current project. I will probably remove the bolt from the project, choreography and actions, save the project and reload it and then try to add it back in. Cheers! Quote
