Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted July 28, 2009 Hash Fellow Posted July 28, 2009 This is to answer a new user's questions. This vid covers making both the usual Pose Slider type of Pose and also the mysterious, rarely sighted "draggable and droppable" Pose. MakingPosesH200.mov Quote
falibu Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Thank you so much. Watching this felt like watching a long lost TAOAM chapter video. Poses didn't really get too much attention in the book. I never knew I could use rotate like that on the bones! Seems so trivial but some how I just never picked that up. I used this video to fix my 2001 skeleton rig's default hand clench poses and finished a superman body pose. Quote

dblhelix Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 lika a charm! seems timing was everything. that ol' poser. a rare tutorial, should be pinned or otherwise prominently placed. thanks so much! Quote
John Bigboote Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 That's interesting about the draggable pose... I did not know that. Thanks for the enlightenment! Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted June 16, 2011 Author Hash Fellow Posted June 16, 2011 That's interesting about the draggable pose... I did not know that. Thanks for the enlightenment! I think its greatest use may be for quickly blocking in mouth poses for dialog, something that typically involves a number of bones or controls that , for polishing and nuance, need to be not locked to each other as a pose slider control does. There's a $200 add-on for Maya that has the same functionality. Quote
dblhelix Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 think of the ragged mass of criss-crossing lines that is Eugene's hand in a close-up, turning, trying to pinpoint the right roll handle then turning again to control the curl. all the while i could've selected the finger in PWS, hit r and used the blue ring...
