the_black_mage
i tried that didn't i? EDIT:here Wings_model.zip
thetanman
no you didn't try that because everything you have sent me wings wise was in a project file.

thetanman
mage the model one didn't work either. the material didn't come with it, and all it came in was the wireframe, and when i put the render mode on shaded wireframe, it disappears!!! the_black_mage
i see you attempted grass using roughness...you should know that doesn't work close up....
thetanman
i didn't use roughness. i downloaded a material off of the internet and that is how the material looks.

the_black_mage
the material should be in the model...oh and the reason the model isn't show up when you render is cause it's transparent. that way the feathers only show up. ill have to post the material tomorrow.sorry bed time,i had to post this from my phone! thetanman
oh ok that is the reason why! btw i made a poster and i hope that it turns out really well. i am going to render it, and will post it here in the forums!!

Jequed
As for mario, here is a picture i made after doing some rigging. Now on to the lip-sync.
the_black_mage
oops sorry here it is lol... it needs to be applied to all groups.... also about mario, get to work on those eyes, wide open ain't gonna work, i think that should be first before you do lip sync.... thetanman
Here is what I am talking about.
the_black_mage
is hair turned on? plus i see thats in the modeling window, the wings can only be added in the chorography....copy and paste or some thing like that doesn't work...
Nunsofamerica
Tanner, The wings are not attached to the model in the model file. You have to attach it in the choreography window. So there are 2 models total. understand?
thetanman
yes hair is turned on. i will try to figure it out somehow.
the_black_mage
what do the hair editor lines look like? did you increase the size of the wings in the model window?it looks like hair is the just ver small.... once i upgrade i'll be able to figure out things quicker....and there will be no version reformat problems... Chrury Sanson
I can't wait to see a bunch of Toads using that restroom. I hadn't even thought about there being Toads in there with Luigi. Should I make a stepstool type thing that pops out from under the sink? We don't even have a toad modeled yet! Whatdya think, Nuns?
thetanman
this image isn't for the landscape topic, it is mechanical for the pump jack
thetanman
Here is the finished pic that i am going to enter. crits welcome!!!
Nunsofamerica
Bathroom is fantastic. And yes, I think we should have a toad modeled. That would be funny. Image is wonderful tanner. Good luck
the_black_mage
you've done it, you made me proud , see it wasn't that hard was it? yeah add some kinda stool on there, maybe just a stack of stools or something, what ever you think is best. you know....i toad would be an easy model....hmmmm....i might do a base model....then you guys do the rest if it speeds things up? hey tanner try a diffrent angle, make it so that people know the oil thing was the emphasis of the image. right now i does look like land scape....
the_black_mage
i'll model a base of the toad, color and every thing else will be up to you guys.... reference image:
elliotclem1
Hi all. Your movie is coming along fantastically if you want me to help you animate I would love to help you. I would also would like to help you texture your models as I have A:M paint. If that is ok Elliot
the_black_mage
ooh A:M paint nice, i'm sure nuns would be glad to have you! pm him....
the_black_mage
Here it is sofar....now the hard part...the hands.... btw does the jacket look ok?
Chrury Sanson
I'd say that the jacket needs to be more open at the top with tighter curves on the bottom corners. Check the blue Toad from that image you posted up there. Besides the arm looking a smidge long, it's coming along nicely.
Nunsofamerica
I agree with chris. looks nice though

the_black_mage
sorry i can't do'it now, i'm having some problems right now...in fact i might not be on for some time.....
Chrury Sanson
The step stool took longer than I thought. Bones on the doors, and one for the stool. It rotates in nicely and doesn't intersect anything. Two problems: 1: This render took 10 &1/2 minutes. 2: I have to model under the sink! The modeling isn't a problem, but that render...yuck. Would it have to do with the transparency map I used for the hole? I was going to use a boolean, but the sink cabinet isn't completely enclosed. Also, the lighting was good but a bit dark, so I bumped the Global Ambiance up to 10%. Edit: I took the transparency map out and it took 2 & 1/2 minutes off the time. Nunsofamerica
ugg. 10 minutes. How can we bring that down.. hmm
