johnl3d Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Started with using sweeper to make a brick wall (model 1 in project) then played with the results with newton and simcloth ..simcloth part shown here abrickwall.mov project file for inspection abrickwall.zip Quote
John Bigboote Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Seems to me like you might be '1 plug-in over the line'... I can't see why sweeper was used...or SimCloth for that matter. If you just wanted a falling brick wall, all you needed was Newton...no? Cool results though! Quote
johnl3d Posted March 5, 2007 Author Posted March 5, 2007 I am currenly experimenting with sweeper and thought I'd built a brick wall and use newton but newton thinks the wall as one model and it did not crumble. So I tried sim cloth because I had use the old cloth to make things fall apart. I just thought the results looks weird but different and so I rendered and posted I have a few other things to try Quote
Gerry Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Strange but interesting, John. At the end it looks like some mutant creature trying to emerge from the fragments. Nice work! Quote
heyvern Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 John? I think you've "gotten out of the box" again. You know what's going to happen if you keep trying to think "outside of it" like this? One of these days you won't be able to find your way back to the box to think outside of it and then you will be lost to us. Oh my.. I think I took that analogy on a long trip and got lost myself... Your experiments are a never ending joy of discovery. hee hee hee... mutant jello... mutant jello cinder blocks... mutant lime jello cinder blocks. -vern Quote
