Hi all,

It's been a while. And finally I got some time to return to this project.

I'm kinda stuck with visualising. I've changed the character to a more realistic way. But I doubt if its going with the painted BGs. I'm posting the character and BGs with a composite too.

Any suggestions are most welcome.

Satyajit -

I have looked at your posts in the anime section many times and am so glad to see your update. Pardon the gushing nature of this post but ... your character composited with the backgrounds looks so beautiful ! I don't know if you will be doing your whole film in this manner but I am hopeful you can achieve this look throughout. It is marvelous and full of style and personality.

Geez, can you tell I'm a fan of your work? Keep on !!!!!

Biswajit Paul : Pencils, character design.

Soumitro Kheto : BG painting.

Me: storyboards, character design, art direction, modelling, animation and compositing.

Satyajit sahib, that is bohot acha! bilkul fantastic ;)

I think you should leave the BGs the way they are. It'll make a style statement, it has contrast to the semi-realistic characters, but most importantly it envelopes your characters with mood. Besides, it'll make you stand out from other artists.

Keep up the good work :)

Hey Satyajit, I'm glad you're back. I love everything about this piece. I would leave it alone. I did like your first character, but this one is great.

if you don't wanna use pictures you could model the picture exactly how it is then apply it as a decal.that what the did in final fantasy 7-9

btw give props to the background artist for me.^_^

Very interesting style, even if you think it's too "brushy".

Like it! Daily news expected ... ;-)

That way, you could make the train go by in the background behind the other objects. If you applied the map as front projection, you would be stuck with no camera motion.

But in a music video, I think you can get away with the painted background.
