Paul Forwood Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Looking great, William40! I would be interested in knowing how much of the wrinkles, in his face, is bump/distortion maps and how much is geometry. It looks very good. Quote
arkaos Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Wow! Nice job. It's truly Hollywood movie quality. Quote
Zaryin Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Great ape. Will you be adding more hair? Quote
brainmuffin Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 I like the highlights in his eyes. He also looks very friendly. I also liked your undead astronaut. He reminded me of "The Peoples" from Madagascar.. Quote
Guest william40 Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 WOW! Thanks everybody. I took my reference from a lot of books I have on primates. Low land gorillas, mountain gorillas, so many... To answer some of the questions. (gulp, drinking some more Dew) - I will be posting more of him VERY soon. - I used a bump map for the details in the face - I will post a wire frame of the gorilla and astronaunt. Cheers, William Quote
Guest william40 Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 I have not had a lot of time to add to this guy, but slowly it is coming along. So here is another bust shot(more fur and some additions) of the gorilla and a bit of a teaser on the wire frame and a small sample of the bump map I used. [attachmentid=12810] Quote
Eric2575 Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 Love that ape. One thing though. The specular highlight in his eye is awefully bright. That's all I have to pick on Quote
