Williamb Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Ok, let me get this straight. We are supposed to think in three dimensions, learn to model, apply hair, texture, decal, bone, rig, animate, operate a camera, set up lighting, learn the physics of photon mapping. Then every year a new version comes out with features we have to figure out all over again. It sounds like fun. Anyway here is my latest attempt at making a realistic face. Quote
starwarsguy Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Stop double-posting by saying "It's crap." "Just kidding." in every single forum! ARGGG!!! I miss the Rants and Raves section, sorry... Quote
higginsdj Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Looks OK - some different views and a wireframe wouldn't go astray. Ears may need some work though - the lobes don't quite look right. Cheers Quote
cfree68f Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 looks pretty good. I'd use Yves Skin shader and a slightly warmer shade on the face. The neck seems to taper wrong.. Other than that.. bang up job! C Quote

Mr. Jaqe Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 I miss the Rants and Raves section, sorry... don't miss hell... but the model looks really good. Im not sure if I can find anything to criticize Quote
ChrisThom Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 it looks like crap Be careful, this is the stuff that will get you booted off the forum. Nice job on the head model. It kind of looks like my mom so it's kind of creaping my out and I'm having some issues with it at the moment. I think I need to call my counselor. Quote
Mr. Jaqe Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 it looks like crap Just kidding that's not even funny. But time for C&C on the model: looks really good, dunno if I can find anything bad about it. You using a rotoscope? Quote
nf1nk Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 My wife noted that the hair on the eyebrows is a radically different color than the curly mass on top, "it looks dyed". could be the look you are going for though. all around very well done Quote
Vash Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 Okay.... The lips.... they are very glary or glassy... the contour decals of the lips... like spots sort of... flared spots... The hair looks good. The eyes... again they have strange flared spots... Let me guess-same decal different colors. The face is good though. (Of course right now she looks kind of scary ) Quote
Paul Forwood Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 Looks great!!! The only criticisms I have for you are what Colin mentioned about the ears and the eyes seem too flat, they could use some speculars. Just my humble opinion. Well done though. Quote
sculptorpro Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 Looking really good to me judging by the way the natural shadows are falling, would like to see a 3 quarter view, and if you don't mind sharing, a wireframe. Quote
pancho simpson Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 My wife noted that the hair on the eyebrows is a radically different color than the curly mass on top, "it looks dyed". hmm, is the image a final render or a real time one? bc that could expalain the diffs in the hair color. Great work though, however (and this could be me) i think there´s a tiny crease at the top left corner of her forehead, again this could be the result of a real time render. Anyway, keep up the good work! Quote
