ok i did a render, since my focus from here on out is rendering i decided not to change the couches yet. with this render i went for a diffrent lighting setup than before and actually used radiosity this time. it was around a 13 hour render O_O! but i'm satisfied. i recently discovered that you don't have to render the whole scene to see if the settings worked. you can use the raytracer in the choreography, just right click and hit calculate radiosity first, then use the raytracer(green render icon). you get a low res render which is good enough to tell if the final render will turn out ok. but theres only one problem with this render thats obvious...the tree..theres a whole lot of white dots on the tree and i don't know why.....does any one else know? should i post my settings? heres the image, like it? and heres a test radiosity render i did before a began this render. no color with some color

sorry, i had to do it here. if the wings don't look right just tell me, you might need to adjust the "bow" setting in the feather hairs options. Wings.zip Mushroom.zip
-
ok i'm gonna link it. the thing is the wings can only be added in th chor. copy and pasting wont work because the feathers mess up. so just put it on in the chor. it has bones and every thing and the feathers move with it. i'll send the pm in a min.

you know i could help you get toon to look better tot...if you want?

man i am completely in love with the lighting, care to give any tips?
-
i like the lighting, i would recommend more sky illumination on him(a blue light). also one thing you could try is having a specularity only light on PB(which stands for poo bear right?) to increase highlights. some times making it high intensity will help in the look.you have to turn everything off but specularity.

same here the regular render, and i it helps heres some 3d applications that you should sue to make decals. http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/ http://www.getpaint.net/index2.html http://park18.wakwak.com/~pixia/ each one i have and all are good for diffrent reasons. try them.

also about the winds make sure the wings bow setting is turned to 0. that way the feathers wont seem so round.
-
Here it is, i found it!!!! that bad side is that i found only one...the other is gone somehow. but this should work, the words say tilted because the pillar things on the side are tilted. you can change and add what you want, i didn't put the winds in cause i modeled those and they have to be added in the choreography. i put the front and top view on on sheet because of easier access.

That is a result of too many layers of polyurethane and floor wax build up. It is just an illusion. Or it's a layer of Plexiglas to protect the set while posing the stop motion figures. Okay, I've taken that whole thing way to far now. I'll stop... although... I was going to explain how wireframes were projected on to the unpainted carvings... I've said it before... stylistically this goes beyond ANY 3D rendering done in ANY application. It's more than the tools folks... having the best tool really helps of course. I will go and sob quietly in the corner now. -vern because the chair is lopsided? or he's putting weight on the front of the chair? i dunno, it looks ok to me.
