  1. well, I have to say I like this version of the crash, it kind of answers unanswered questions. Anyways, good as always, any news onthe case
  2. Actually, there are very few spines throughout the whole model. The front, back only have 8 CP's, and the corners ore only 10 CP's, so I don't think i would be able to constrain the vehicles to any splines cause there are none in the middle of any of the straights or corners. But I will see what I can do when I add the grandstands and the infield walls. Thanks
  3. Well, I wanted to recreate some races, so I thought I would need a track. Anyways, I was trying to put the sedan on the track, and since the tutorial resourses page is down right now, can someone tell me how to make the track a surface that another model can not fall through, I am having the hardest time figuring that out. Thanks
  4. That was a cool clip, and I thought it was good. The only thing is that a fire of that size should probalby be blowing alot more smoke. But it is great.
  5. I added the corner walls, and the pit lane, I am kind of having problems making the surface of the track and walls look real. Grand stands and inside walls commin soon. [attachmentid=10746]
  6. Have to say, the models look great. I like the animation too, it looked really smooth, but the only thing, I think is that the straps started to lift before the chain. but maybe I am seeing things kind of tired. Well good job, can't wait to see more
  7. After going to the Dan Holtz's Race Experience, I decided that I would model the Mesa Marin track. one reason is because I almost broke the track record in a car with only half the horse power. The other reason is the track is scheduled for destruction this month. So I decided I would carry on the legacy. I need some help with some things, first I rotated the straights at 7 degrees, and the corners at 18 degrees, that is what the track has, but it looks like it is way more angled than that. When you use the rotate manipulator, and input a number, is that the actual real world degree, or is it different on this program? Any who, here is the still of what I have now, help would be greatly appreciated. [attachmentid=10745]
  8. I just watched the videos, my first question is was the plane moving or just the camera? I did think the take of was really cool, but just like it sais higher in the thread it does take longer for the back wheels to come off the ground, and the turn was a little sharp, probably would have caused the plane to go into a stall. All in all, you are doing great, can't wait to see more
  9. I am not to familiar with the sword from FF 7, but a few things that I noticed when I opend the picture; -The angled edge of the blade is wider in some parts, not even I think this would throw off the weight of the sword -The green circle, or stone seems to be imbeded further in than the red one -The blade also extends past the hand guards, again i am not to familiar with the sword -I also think you should move the handle a little to the right, to center it more -it also looks a little 2D maybe you should post a picture at a different angle, you could get more advice that way. Good job so far. james
  10. I have to say that I like it, maybe dark and scary but I like it. And I like the way you put the A:M picture on the computer screen. But my favorite is that your floor doubles as a coffee machine I want one of those
  11. Dang I must have slipped into a black hole or something, cause I missed alot on this thread. Anyways, good as always, I haven't got to watch the videos yet, but I will when i get home today, CPU at work doesn't have quicktime Anyways, I know you said the runway wasn't yours, but it is the cleanest, glossiest, most reflective runway I have ever seen, and I have seen alot, from Hawaii, to Iraq, and inbetween. Anyways, I will check out the videos later, and i don't think Tom should fall out, maybe shaggy, or what we talked about before in the thread, well see ya, I will start working on a Paratrooper for you, if you like, may take a while though, not to good a moving splines
  12. well, i instantly thought of swiss cheese. But now I am thinking old rusted pipes Or swiss cheese that was used to make pipes
  13. Yeah, thats funny, it does look like you have a lot of flat screen tvs. But the room looks good to me, but maybe you should put some images behind the windows, like landscape or trees, or even a street light if it is at night. Well, good job. James
  14. I have to say I like the picture, but they look more like bubbles instead of solid balls. I think, and I may be wrong, that you have the transparency of the balls turned up to high, but I am not to sure, I am still only a beginner. James
  15. I don't know, I like the look of the space where the joints are supposed to be, it looks like a way futuristic magnetic field, something a mastermind would create. I kind of like the hands, without the fingers, even though it would clash with my previous statement. The eye brows are kind of funny, but again, suspended in mid air is great. Keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing him in action James
  16. It reminds me of Halo, but I guess all the game programmers know everything about every game. Anyways, it is looking good. Didn't look at the larger picture, but from the smaller picture it looks good. I don't know i if I would ware it into combat, think I would suffocate. It looks like it was built for a very slim person. But it is a great model. James
  17. First, it looks like it is comming along good. The vest looks good so far, I am not to familiar with half life, but is the suit supposed to be rigged on the sleeves, and square around the neck? If so, I think it is good, but I just thought I would ask. James
  18. Man I just watched the footage from inside the truck. Good as always. So did you ever figure out wich way, and how much the truck actually spun. Well, keep it up. James
  19. First, I would like to say that the car looks great. However I would have to agree with Reynolds on the points he touched on. In addition, when looking at the attachment from Reynolds, if you look at the fender, before the door, there is also another dent there, above the tim. Again, great work, and I like to see references of cars, because ever since I got this program I have been wanting to make my car. Hope to see the final project. James
  20. Like I said in the WIP, this is great. I like how you made more light on the guy reading, where we can actually see the book. Open or not, the image is great. I really like the book shelfs, though I am a little confused on the candles, even though they add to the environment, it doesn't see like it does much for relaxing in an outdoor environment. But again, great work.
  21. Man, thats a great image. I really like seeing the guy sitting and reading. I would trip if I walked into a book store and it looked like that. I am sure something like that would make one hell of a business. Animation land or not, I would spend alot of time in there. Great work. James
  22. And you said you wouldn't jump out of a perfectly good airplane! See why I always wanted to be suited up, those things could go at any minute. Nah just kidding, when I was deployed, first and second time, we always had problems because of the sand, and if it wasn't the sand, the tarmak was too hot for the planes to land and take off, blowing the tires out and such. Any who, wish you the best, and get those techs to work on that plane, cant have someone as involved as you in a bad plane. James
  23. Ed, I really like the ship. But for some reason it looks to me, like some one could pull it apart at the middle. Almost like a toy. But not to discourage you, the model is great. I really like how you modified it from the original, shows alot of imagination and creativity. Great work James
  24. Hearing storys of the C-130, make me think of Fort Bragg. I think that the funniest thing I have ever seen was when we were walking to the ramp to load the plane. Of course they already had the engines fired, and the hot stink air was blowing hard on us as always. But one guy, i can't remember his name, wasn't paying attention, and got his reserve handle caught on the back of another paratroopers shoot. It was like something off of Americas funniest videos, cause his reserve deployed, and the back blast of the props inflated it and drug him almost all the way back to the rigging shed. Of course our jump was delayed for a few minutes to make sure he was okay, but it was funny as hell. Well, cant wait to see some more animation of your plane. There was also the case when our plane was about to take off, and a bird flew right into the engine, but that was on a C-17. James
  25. Rodney, I may have spoken wrong for the AF as a whole, but the only knowledge I have of the planes if from Fort Bragg. When I got there, we were always on the C-130, and C-141, but before I could turn around we were all on C-17. I don't know how the rest of the AF does it, but at Bragg, C-17 just took over, it seemed like over night. Still we used C-17 when we had a mass combat jump, simulated combat. But when we deployed, they took most of the equipment on the 5's and 17's. Hell, I guess it doesn't really matter, all the planes are great, and it has been a while since I have even thought about the planes we used to jump from. Mike, you know what I think would be the greatest animation, if you could make the your C-130 flying over a drop zone, and paratroopers jumping out. Anyways, enough of me bugging you guys, so take care, and keep up the good work. Have to go do more exercises. Peace out James
