  1. Thanks Rodney You are right and will add them in! Steve
  2. I am thrilled in the help of Mack Chapelle's in the rigging of characters. This is a proof of concept and the rig went in quickly. Mack has been meeting with us and has begun the rigging of characters. Once he gets the rig in and weighted/smart skinned I will begin the face poses. Once again love the new render features in v 18!! Steve Edit This shot took less than 1:30 with hair and a lot of materials, multipass 5 passes, sss. Thank you Steffen
  3. Thanks Nancy. Decided to put this on the back burner for now until she is rigged. I tried to use decal and apply through editor. Found out how really bad a decal can look when you do it wrong. I will come back to this later. I will revisit how we do clothing later. For now she is going to be rigged and after that hair and makeup. Steve
  4. Nancy I used Bitmap plus and came up with this on the material. Is there anyway to stop the overlap of the pattern Steve
  5. I was comparing and playing with the new rendering features in v 18. Love it. There are so many combinations! Here is a shot with SSAO and SSS. Angie on the right has sss turned on and the left does not. The render times are just over a minute / frame with multipass turned on. Steve Edit I added a shot with sss and light from behind Angie.
  6. That is what most have. If you need any help let me know. Steve
  7. David I am sorry to hear that. As a claims adjuster I want to get in to a loss and get it taken care of. Did you have flood insurance?
  8. Ok she is just about ready for rigging. I have added the mouth, teeth, tongue, collar on shirt, check the arm length and finally ready decide the rig to use. Steve
  9. They are bent, so I believe it is an illusion. Thanks David. how are you doing with the flood situation. Steve
  10. Getting closer. Working on the shirt and collar. Once that is completed it will ready to rig. Then makeup and hair. Steve
  11. Thank John, Nancy, and Robert! Nancy, I did not know how to do the bitmap plus so thank you very much. Robert, I thought of that and that is excellent suggestion. Thank you John for so quickly answering my question and excellent example. She is nearing completion and hopefully tonight I can update my file and show an example Steve
  12. Being a novice at decaling and material creation, I am trying to create the texture for the shirt of the character. Any help is appreciated. I have uploaded a sample. Steve edit and really don't know much about photoshop
  13. Thanks Robert She is done at least for the base. I will now cut her up and place clothes on her and get her ready for rigging! Steve
  14. Wow thank you and excellent job. Faster render on the project I am working on!! Steve
  15. Reworked the eyes, nose and chin. I also increased the size of the eyes and repositioned them in the socket. Finally can move on from here. Steve
  16. I love the lighting and the feel of the set! Steve
  17. Well the face is taking longer than thought but a good start. Steve
  18. I missed the solution. Awesome result and wonderful character Steve
  19. Well I have completed the body for now. Going on back to the head and face. I know it is spline heavy but wanted to create all the bends in the right places. Once I put clothes on her I will loose a lot of the patches and splines. Steve
  20. All around awesome. Thank you for sharing. Steve
  21. I reduced the patch count on the hand by more than 500! I will reduce the count on the arm and will be in business again. Here is a shot of the leg, foot, arm and hand in place Steve
  22. I will d/l that as I could see that being used Steve
