    -The door a bit larger, one plank larger ? , the door frame more straight?

    -door hinges, window, chimney?

     

     

    It seem hard to open the door outside way...maybe you think to open the door inside way?

     

    I like the rock basement and the death tree girder !

    I think Mark want the set in a choreo with some light setup .

    If you want to experiment some effect like , dynamic, hair etc.

    You're very welcome to do so but :

    1-If you need people to access your new file, put your work in a separate SVN folder

    (name it "lloyds stuff") ,

    2-or keep those experiments on your local and show us movie and picture first...

     

    no need to update like crazy the SVN with experiment ;) once release other guys would work on it too so to avoid problem we should discuss thing on the thread "before" updating the SVN

     

    I consider the bedroom data we got on SVN as the official release version.

    if you need more time to complete stuff , take it , we'll release it after.

     

    When the version will be release, people will have to submit any modifiaction to this thread with info and render so we'll be able to discuss and approve ...

     

    it's only after that step that the update of the SVN will be allowed with those modified files.

     

    Is this procedure ok with everyone ?

    I've try to load the winkee village project and got some issues.

     

    I've been ask for "winkeeville_base.mdl"

    and for "barkmap"

     

    I can't find those files on SVN...

     

    ...temporary as a workaround I've try to use " main_landscape.mdl " , seem to me that it is the one to be use ??... Also , I've search some answers on the repository log ...

     

    ... have you change some files name ?

     

    Can you verify those aspect on SVN and confirm that everything is loading fine?

    Well , I don't know

     

    Be careful about that view , I mean keep in mind the camera point of view used on that scene.

    The point of view in your render would not necessarily be used by the animator team...

     

    it's a general "bird view" from the room door, lightning effect can change a lot depending on camera view...and can be done in different ways ,like layer etc.

     

    But it's still good to have some choice and your experiments in this sphere are cool and surely not lost.

     

    (I'm working on the outside Yoop setup...hope to show some stuff soon too )

    But would it be better if it was a moonlight rays coming from a window in the ceiling?

    Now it look like a morning shadow who give an hope, expectation effect more than a frightning,dangerous mood...

     

    if course I'm not talking about something like "Mr Been spotlight" but more something like ....evil werewolf stuff...blueish white rays... keeping the warm color tone coming from the fireplace....

     

    this is just my impression...

    Wall Paper: Are you saying the wall paper needs to be less bright, perhaps toned down a bit?

    yes... every thing should be toned down...so the character just stand out on the screen...see what I mean ?

     

    Bed: That's the duvel (think I spelled it right) textured. The matress is actually beneath that. The balnket issue I'm addressing right now with bones and simcloth and when I have something more accurate I'll pass it to you. I have a roughed out animation right now of what I have if you'd like to see it. It's 3 meg so I'll e-mail it to you if you like.

    What exactly do you mean by fade the color? I don't quite understand what you mean?

     

    Just keep in mind that the focus should remain on character... be careful with bright vivid color and pattern(striping , stong contrast etc. ) who would disturb the eyes of the public from the character...

     

    make all details you want but tone down everything in regard of the character ...

    hope it's more clear then... ;)

    Some tought about it.

     

    about the SVN files:

     

    delete the .info files. it's useless to upload it.

    Yes you can change the .mdl files name ....this one is quite long ! ;)

     

    Scarecrow Bedroom Set Final Dressing.act

     

    You can make any clean you wish in the SVN final bedroom directory since you're in charge

    of that set...at a moment in time you'll have to get AN 'official release version"

    after that only you'll have keep untouch the ORversion and submit your modification as anybody else in a specific folder...

    ...hope that sentence is clear enought ;)

     

     

    about the bedroom:

     

    "I like your pine color for the wood more than the mahogany...nice!"

    -maybe the wood color should be more "grey tone" like dry barn wood ?

     

    - some bump effect on the floor tiles ( nice tiles !)

     

    - put a simple color for the wall under the midwall moulding

    - fade , wash out the wall paper color design...it should blend more into one tint !

     

    ( idea :you can visit some website of "real" wallpaper to get funny sample ?)

     

    -the scarecrow doll should be a lot smaller to avoid any confusion

     

    - can you add some "wear down ""used or dirt" effect on the bed woods ?

    and in wall corner and floor ?

    ...kind of greyish gradient used in decals % should do the trick

    ... also to fake small deterioration of those furniture

    do it roughtly, an effect should be apparent if you go for it.

     

    - Is the window would be better bigger ? with his tin interlaced design more apparent , heavier ?

     

    about that, a window frame should be around the window isn't it ?

    not on the stone wall around the window but inside the tickness of the wall just around the window panel? if you see what I mean?, it's hard to explain ! hehehe ;) anyway it's just a small detail.

     

    -nice color for the bed blanket...are you sure that it's not the mastress? and that it need a new blanket ?

     

    -also keep in mind to fade your color design so the scarecrow character alway appear clearly in front.

    ...don't hesitate to fade out the color...

     

    - put the milk barrel white ?

    Eric just upload his nimmie house inside files in SVN.

    You'll find some nice props and texture effect on those project ...

    you can use some of them into the bedroom if you wish,

     

    ***just be sure to work on your own copy ...

    don't use the exactly same stuff, make some change to avoid the "deja-vu" effect.

  16. Hope you'll receive a new password and an user name soon.

     

    The painting stuff in the bedroon look good but maybe it would be placed on the side of the room.

     

    Nt sure if you wish to refine the texture but here soom suggest about it:

     

    - don't like the wall marble texture at all...u should refine it

     

    -maybe a wall paper ? something light and not too garish

     

    idea:?

    -maybe addig some tin interlaced design incrustrated in the wall ?

     

    wood on pillar and baseboard moulding:

    -the wood color seem too dark for me, this arrangment of color should be revisited

     

    - for the floor , what about some stone tiling texture ?

    - you would add a cool carpet, at the feet of the bed ?

     

    Those are just suggestions take what you wish on it.

  17. Got it. Now it's asking me for a password and user name. I used my logon name and usual password, but it did not accept them. I had a password and user name assigned for TWO, but it was so long ago that I can't recall. Who do I email to get an updated set?

     

    I've heard that Noel is on vacation so...

    Eric ask Will at Hash headquarter for the password stuff...if you need a new one.
