really quick 2d censor to cut to when the construction guy is getting squished by block.[attachmentid=10520] censored.mov

it looks like bamboo to me,so why not just put more stalks to make the floor?
-
i thought i'd post the latest on my penguin/constr guy intro. both char are rigged so i've been working on bg. this wont be the lighting i'm using..just checking setup
-
thanks for the replys guys. Ben sorry but I don't remember and I didn't save the project. It was just a little test and I liked the results.

I think for the camera moves its best to remember the K.I.S.S. method, why not just a "dreamy" disolve from her playing to the fountain? The effects of the fountain are going to outshine any fancy cam work anyways.
-
I think you have a great beginning there. Some suggestions you can take for what its worth. I think you need to work on the camera moves, theyre jerky in places. Also I think it seemed a bit long. Maybe some different camera moves to show the fountains and going to coloured spouts sooner would help that. Wouldn't the water also be displaced when the spouts feel back in the pool? I understand you posted in the showcase area but with some more tweaking this could be an awesome piece.

FADE DECAL ON MODEL TO REVIEW SOMETHING
Pengy replied to johnl3d's topic in Work In Progress / Sweatbox
i think it was my question you're answering john. i'm honoured i dont think i explained myself clearly so i thought a pic might do a better job. -
thanks for the suggestions guys. i have to admit i wasnt too keen on the legs when i put them in, but i thought animating the walk would be easier. they changed the look too much so i 86'ed them. also fixed a few other things. just about to the point where i can finally rig him yea
-
I finally got all the poses set for the construction guy. So now I'm moving on to my mascot, the penguin. But before I do I'd like to fix him up a bit so he looks more like my drawing. He's close I think but I just can't pinpoint what's wrong. After spending so much time with it its hard to see Any suggestions are appreciated.

great model, i cant wait to see what you do with him. as to a model exchange forum isnt there already a free model site Hash maintains? maybe if more people sent models there, there wouldnt be a need for a new place where no one donates models?
-
still plugging along on this. i finally got my eyes to blink i added more up to the walk and i like how it turned out. something about the arms is still not quite right. any suggestions would be most appreciated. constrtest6.mov
-
Well i trashed the last version, didnt like it. I think this one is more what I had in mind. constrtest5.mov
-
finally here he is on the move just a first pass have to fix a bunch of things.i'm thinking of just using a distortion box to add the jiggle. constrtest4.mov
-
still working on the arms.timing looks ok in front view but side is off somehow and im missing it. constrwalk3.mov
-
tried to follow the suggestions but now i think it might be a little too exaggerated. but there is a strong sense of weight there constructtest2.mov
-
thanks Glenn exactly the stuff i was looking for.

i'm trying to develop a walk for this guy. Still some more to do on him so mr proxy is standing in. just the first pass but i'm having a bugger of a time coveying his weight, any suggestions appreciated. constrwalk01.mov

-
fixed up a few things and decided to put him through his paces constrex.mov

Problem #2 finished the constraints and ran him through TSM, now he has major back problems I have a feeling its a hierarchy problem but not sure.
-
good job, i was wondering though would a squat happen before the first step? Also maybe for an end he could sit down.
