  1. that guy reminds me of The Killer Bean....especially the hands....this is great for a first model...the arms and legs are attached nicely...wireframe?
  2. what's up with the attached pic? I see a big green space
  3. Ok....I have a feeling this splineage isn't a good idea, but here's an update
  4. alright..here's a shot of where I'm stuck...i'm willing to delete the whole mouth section in order to get this right,
  5. anybody know how I could connect the top lip to the bottom lip in that structure?
  6. Ok...how could I connect the mouth and the top lip together (if someone could quickly whip up a nice sloppy "paint" drawing of some splineage I could do
  7. Ok...more progress....all i basically did was add one spline ring and the bottom of the mouth...I also shaped the nose so it pointed...
  8. Well, you read it right..I'm trying to model a face...I'm using the "Mr.Incredible" references because I want to start w/ a simple nose...and I don't want to have to make references myself for a face (too lazy) I still have to shift some CP's to get rid of some creases that are easy to wash away....:
  9. Very nice! It would of been impossibly amazing if you made the mouth an actual hole
  10. Learn about Constraints, fan bones, and CP Weighting..I would use weighting in order to prevent creasing when animating...
  11. Alright...attached is a zip with a clip in it that has the body hidden, just the face is shown...facial expressions are added in..I think I got the rough idea down pretty well. I also got lips in Formula_facial_study.zip
  12. Thanks, man! next comes some rough ideas for the facial animation part
  13. Ok...just because you have to download a simple zip doesn't mean you can't watch it..haha I made an update...changed a pose in the middle Formula_newpose.zip
  14. thanks! Alright...since I was done with the main posing and breakdowns I moved on and went on to some follow through touchups to get rid of that "suddenly stopping" arm. The next clip is in linear interpolation. I still have yet do do facial expressions and lip sync. in the end I will be switching to zero slope interpolation because I need a very snappy look for this animation Formula_linear_touchups.zip
  15. I've decided to start practicing animating to dialogue pieces...in the zip you'll find a quicktime movie of the basic blocking... the sound only comes out of the left channel and that's crappy..I have to figure that one out.... Formula.zip
  16. saaweet! Thanks man
  17. Nixie, pal, buddy...i'd pay you CG dollars if you would make a tute on modeling this guy...
  18. hey! that's the bottom of my model! haha! what method of animation did you use...when the little dude is stepping forward it seems as if it was every frame you animated. It looks a bit choppy, is what I mean the timing overall is very good, though. I don't think there's a huge problem with showing weight in this, only a bit..just try to tweak it a bit
  19. holy crap... this shows distortion boxes could be used to show reflections in the water
  20. Do you guys think i should add real fingers? I think I will
  21. and a screen render of him in one of my animations I'm working on. He looks alive!
  22. close up on the head
  23. Hey guys... I've done a few things to my animation guy..I'll make it available in awhile after I'm done touching it up... the front:
