I wish the developer had not disappeared or I knew how to program ... its actually a small stand alone program if I felt it was okay I would donate it to the forum I posted this to show a solution to the problem having the bar change with a pose which may be animated another way

the project sets up the pose then I used a program to I have to change sound level to pose percent so unfortunately this is all tracks sound level being displayed the point being the gradient combiner is the control gradientcombiner.zip wav file not included soundbar.mov

its simply a material applied to the rim light and animated here I tried it with volumetric turned on vmatlight.mov matlight.zip
