  6. When a person has played with AM for a long time.. I think my first AM cd was AM 98 ... and mostly with getting effects you have a good working knowledge of what it AM can do and since my modeling skills are very limited I have a tendency to play with these parts of AM. Nothing I do is amazing its just stuff that you haven't tried yet. And even the stuff I do post can be improved by people with some artistic skills and even better knowledge of what AM can do. So no genius here just someone not afraid to try to push all the buttons But I still haven't found the make dragon button this is the as close as I got to that http://johnl.inform.net/pages/material2.htm
  7. not sure if this will help...one camera multiple views http://johnl.inform.net/pages/cameraview.htm

  9. ah thanks...this actually was an answer about the perlin material ..presented in a slightly different manner johnl.3d
  10. the project file could be bad reception on your tv perlin.prj
  11. This is a perlin material applied to a plane I applied a rnd()*5 expression on some of the material settings and rendered if you are bothered by flashing lights do not watch if you scroll the bar you can get an idea as to what perlin can do this was just a test not to be necessarily useful perlin.mov
  12. forgot a setting or two can you figure out whats wrong spin.mov
  13. threw this together just for kicks boolean cutter comes in from the left material effector from the rear duel.mov
  14. this was just a quick trial no tweaks in case people wanted to try and use things they have right in front of them and never thought of using..a fun project..i post these once in awhile when i'm working through an idea. So try it and better yet improve it later 7uo1h0z16cn4u7an

  18. Great cat looks like it would have one very large hairball though.....have you tried to animate it
  19. the light in the first image is mostly from the windows at the front entrance. The wall behind is reflective as there is a wall of water flowing on it. But I can see that there should be more of a shadow as you suggested on the desk.
  20. I tried to do something similar here but not sure how to make the feet look right. Any suggestions. This is the view from the loft area where I usually eat lunch with the common area between lofts a great place for the t-rex but this is hard to blend in. I need more help on this one
  21. I have a digital camera and took a few pictures of the office where I work and tried to add the free t-rex to a couple of pictures. This was the dino rendered in Am on black background ,cut in out then added to a layer in PS. In PS I copied just the desk to another layer then put that in front of the dino layer . Added a shadow layer effect and tried to do a reflective layer of the dino on the desk area. Is there any suggestions on how to do this better This seemed to work okay
