  1. > (Jake, I was relooking through your PDF comic/animatic the other day and I'm sure I imagined music. I've been looking for a way to tell you I think your artwork/storytelling is great so I'm sneaking this line in here.) And sure you are right, that the music in connection with animation makes sense. It`s just quite rare, that we get music only presented in the wip section. Guess I better have my focus on the other less bewildering threads.
  2. Hi Rodney, Still doen`t grab, what this is all about. music o.k. , but wont that be off topic? programming: expressions for generating music, models , scenes? where?s wireframes, explanations? Is Darrin just talking to himself or does he try to get some understanding? Maybe a brief, "What this is all about" would help to attract some attention. That`s hard enough to get from folks anyhow!
  3. What has this to do with AM?
  4. Kind of cryptic. As a foreigner it´s kind of hard for me to follow you? What do you try to tell: Show us something, make fun of us, give us some riddles? Maybe you are capable of making your intentions clearer? These pictures are`nt done with AM, are they? Is it Troll alert?
  5. I think, it`s from the TWO or SO project maybe.....
  6. Generally a good idea, but in the past, there have been just too few people being around to do animations. To try may be one contest every 4 month, would be more realistic, I think.
  7. > baking that and then changing it to whatever to was supposed to be. not grabbing this. How does this bring reflectivity?
  8. I`m aware, that my mascot entry doesn`t stand a chance in that fabolous competition, nevertheless I tried to make a little pr over at cg-talk: http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php...791#post6884791
  9. Looks great, you wont be able to move the camera though with this setup, I suppose? > the ground plane is set to 'front projection target'.
  10. > I even have the BluRay of the Watchmen motion comic. After seeing the preview and after I have read the comic many years ago and seen the movie lately, I ask myself: Why should I watch THIS? This is neither fish nor flesh. I personally think this will be no succsses, besides never will generate the reward needed for all that work it takes to make it wortwhile. Jake
  11. Theres also the normalmapcreator plugin for AM, were you can create a normalmap from your modeled shoestrings. Don`t know, where you can get it at the moment, though.
  12. Wow. great style, looking forward to see it move. Its interesting to see, theres some kind of trend around here at the moment to go for a somehow more stylized background. cheers Jake
  13. ...I have found, that mostly when I run into such kind of problems, I had internal patches somehow in my models. Maybe its worthwhile checking that...
  14. Great chara, seems to me he needs a little up and down movement to give him some weight...
  15. >Would this be a video playing in the store? Also a good idea! I thought of videos maybe at you tube or an app, that you can watch anytime you need it. That would also provide space for companys promotion, advertising, games etc. to pamper their customers. Up to now manuals are just carelessly handled "necessary molestations" for companys. Maybe it could become a great payed workingfield for us smalltime animators. Ikea I just took for a wellknown example. Maybe they would take the idea and then let it produce in china anyhow? (see California FX thread) I will present this idea to companies in my hometown.
  16. Hi folks, I made this as a demo to attract some potential customers: http://www.jostkeller.de/Ikea/Anleitung_end.html (its a Flashmovie) What do you guys think?
  17. ....und ich kann sie auch noch verstehen. Klasse gesprochen! Wo zum Teufel hast Du nur ein so gutes Deutsch gelernt? ;>) Jake
  18. As for rigging may be you have a look at a fanbones setup in my pdf here: http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showt...2815&st=135 works great for hips and shoulders....
  19. Quite nice. Is the body your origion or did you change some other mesh? Theres some creasing in the face. Yes, I looked there too! Could you show the splinelayout?
  20. So anybody around has renderman? ;>)
  21. The CD is a better choice for me. Gives me the opportunity to work on one PC , while at the same time use my other two PCs for rendering. Also in case Hash might go bottom up - that god may beware - I still have the CD. But I nevertheless use a subscription for my laptop, because I don`t always want to carry the CD around.
  22. Hi John, Thanks for refreshing my memory! >HEY JAKE! When we gettin together to do a project? You will find, that we had very similar ideas! ;>) ake
