  1. (my best headline yet. yay.) it's about cloth. spring systems are in the past? what is the new fabric making technique called, i don't know what to search for here? is there a date/version nr to search by as well - as in, newer than?
  2. excuse me - does this apply for Eugene?
  3. sincere thank you again! you see, hair -> feather is still news to some.
  4. i can read his emotional state = muscle tension from the shape of the mouth. that's almost a little scary!
  5. you're cute when you blush! but what's this i hear about premature yaying? my yays are timely and with strong proportions. had to crack that prj open despite weekly weekend work stupor; did not, repeat: not, comprehend a thing, but it's cloth isn't it - means all i need are chalk, scissors, needle and a thread and then it's another tweakathon week! noticed lack of displacement maps (with relief). the materials were a mystery, the white attribute especially so. guessing this is one of those nesting operations. very interesting!
  6. 11 Eugenes to dress. and it ain't about walk cycles. please someone do something soon-ish? pixels preferred, text AND image.
  7. (this is a shangri-la) a capital yay. thank you very much. YAY!
  8. what a pearl. you've probably just added days to my life. thanks!
  9. that thread was tough just reading, but this: implies it's specifically for double sided "model"? or i'm misunderstanding something..?
  10. hot dagnabbit you're quick. i'm making the everlovin' classic of all times, the reaper cloak. heavy-ish dense wool. yes you will see the inside.
  11. could someone simply confirm/deny that this method: http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?s=&am...st&p=199541 is/isn't viable this year, this version? thank you!
  12. oi! please elaborate? in another thread? what situation?
  13. odd: the next study session after posting (maybe an hour later?), i couldn't see any uploaded content; jpg's are usually right there without login, now remarkably absent. i simply chose to take it personally and ignored it. next session, 2hrs? later - jpg's were back. introducing surfer's OCD; i clean cache compulsively mid session. i prefer the "today's active topics" link here. looked for filters, could not locate them, don't know what they are. haven't touched any of that stuff backstage. but if it's only my explorer - no oddities, sorry for the trouble..
  14. oh i get that, what puzzles is that it doesn't come up after login, but after a while! if i post, it appears, but if reading (click a thread > click "Hash Inc Forums" on top of page) it might take a couple of threads/clicks to surface. so good thing i got to post, gotta read robcat on Win7 - preparing a temporary move to a quad monstahh
  15. naah, sounds just like breakfast to me.
  16. (is there something the matter with the off topic-forum - it only appears occasionally?) this sounds more complicated than it is; made a model, saved it. made others, saved them. started a new model in order to assemble these previous models into one. when assembling, ideas take progress back and forth in basic workflow - i make changes in components and expect them to travel to the end product. and they don't. i've just decaled the headband of a crown, but the headband of the assembled crown didn't update. is this a group dependent thing? = when i initially dragged the "headband" into a new model window, all that comes up is the group "headband". if decaling in the component window, decals place above groups. how do i work to avoid this?
  17. thanks for the swift replys! and phew! i had not dejad this view; used to PSing material for a program built to "guess" and turn bgr to alpha was the actual problem here. robcat, the crown i'm (partially) replicating is an actual object in real life some Middle Ages-enthusiast has built. crown
  18. AnTirMidPlateColFlat_copy.tga AnTirMidPlateLeafBumpFlat_copy.tga opening them in PS gives white bgr and i'm getting a gnawing deja vu without the punchline.. been here before and didn't care for it then either.. EDIT in case it matters, the pattern is on top of a small elevated ai-wizarded plate
  19. another one of these very, very fundamental questions. here's my decal with leaf-type shapes. leaf pattern saved from PS as TGA 32 both as color map and as bump. but what's the white frame doing here? TGA's appear with white frame even in the hierarchy, object > group name > decal > image. i'm thinking this wrong but where? (i first saved TGA's as 24, seeing the white went back, resaved over the old - could this be a problem? rebooted a:m twice.)
  20. the darkness was so pronounced it became a character. beautifully executed, do indulge in pride it was political to me at first, but quickly burrowed all the way; it's imagination that will get you..
  21. the alphas are already in the dressing room, prepairing for their ascension to their part as a deity, no less. thank you!
  22. any chance these alphas could make a visit in my project, at least as a placeholder for now? please?
  23. don't know if this helps, but it's here you're referencing to: http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?s=&am...st&p=337477
  24. thanks guys! it was fundamental - it was the absentee color map.
