  1. I did jump to the last frame and chose the model in the chor and exported as an obj. I got the correct model but it was just flat and not deformed. This also happens as mdl as well.
  2. Thanks, I knew i was forgetting something. Bummer I can't export the deformed object on a per frame basis. I end up with an obj file that is in it's original form.
  3. I recently snagged v 19 and am and wanted to do a test using cloth. First I made a couple of primitives. Next I made s plane and applied a cloth material. When I drop them in the chor and animate the plane the cloth does't seem to simulate but rather the plane just moves from point a to point be as i set it. My goal ultimately after someone is kind enough to enlighten me on what I am missing in my prj is to simulate a sheet and ultimately export it out when conformed to various shapes as a quad obj that I can convert to nurbs and eventually be able to make parts that I can cast (ie die cast models). Reason for nurbs is so I can add a thickness to the new shape, trim it as i need and add the fixtures to hold them to other parts. Can the deformed cloth model be exported in it's final shape or will it just export as a flat sheet? sim cloth test.zip
  4. Final product install guide with AM toon render illustrations... I rendered a quick animation of the parts in use as png sequence, picked the ones appropriate and tossed in some descriptions below. Sometimes the big programs are just so cumbersome to work with I end up wasting way too much time. Nice to be back splining
  5. I ended up just remaking them as AM models, was just cleaner since some the prop models were missing some faces. Models simple enough that it was less work to redo than fart around with export settings etc etc.
  6. Ya that is what i ran into. I am remaking all the models in AM and ditched the props for now. Kind of wish we could just assign a model bone to props and link them up. In old Electric image they had skeleton to do this as well as bones. Was very handy on imported objects that didn't require an form of deformation such as mechanical stuff. In the meantime I have to relearn all the short keys, my brain erased most of them LOL. I'm amazed how well AM runs on my little i5 laptop with built in video HD520 chip.
  7. Been a while since I used AM but don't remember the undo not working if i rotate, scale or do any transform on an object in the chor. Anyone else having this issue? I have a simple installation guide on a product install that I want to use the toon render in AM rather than fight FormZ's retarded renderer that will not turn off the F@#$!!!! GD!!! iso lines.... prj has a couple obj's rigged with nulls, other main part was modeled ages ago in AM. sgx.zip

  11. Trend Micro use to do that too, if you email Avast they should update their database. Typically Hash isn't quite as large as Adobe so they don't make the list of ok programs. If your running Windows 7 or 10 you don't need a 3rd party av because the built in one is better integrate into the system and simply works better. Of course if your scouring the Internet to load your machine up with naughty bits then no av is perfect.
  12. Problem could be a gaming profile. I would try to use default (application defined) settings for AM. Both Nvidia and AMD use gaming profiles which I find annoying. On the professional level cards it is easier to control, game and desktop cards have been dumbed down and come with so much crap ware that is not relevant for most users. I actually am starting to like the stability of built in video on the Intel chips. Though not as fast as a dedicated card in some cases they have come a long ways. You can manually download the driver from Nvidia and do an install that way. I prefer not to use the auto updaters and find auto updates to pick the worst possible time to do their thing, usually on a rush job.
  13. I think rebooting the router may change the ip to the provider. Maybe that does the fix? I prefer avoiding clicking on anything that has naughty bits. Usually the safer route.

  15. I'll have to check that out on my laptop. Getting time to update my win 7 machine to 10 since 7 isn't all that great with the newer apps. Have an issue with new Corel draw 2018 that fails to close files on external drives making it impossible to eject the media. Thinking it's a usb driver issue with 7. Talking about data collecting you may want to block Adobe Typekit used on sites. It seems to be opening up a relay between the users machine to talk back and forth to Typekit.net. Basically I am guessing it is another way of data collection using any site authored with Dreamweaver and data can be streamed to Adobes servers. I have blocked all of those leaks using new Opera and surfing now doesn't follow me with polluted searches based on last searched topics. I know people complain about fakebook but that is all in the eula. This seems much more underhanded since users don't agree to anything when they browse web pages. Win 10 pro worth getting vrs home addition? I have always used the pro versions but using home on my laptop and seems to have all the crap i would ever need. Curious if the extra $$ is a waste on something I may never even find in the console nor care?
  16. Are those actual missing faces or are they the result of a flipped normal on the patch? Winding order on the exporter might be causing flipped faces that some programs may have trouble reading in. Usually any models I have exported from AM out as quads to use in other programs I use the other programs to do the subdivision when possible (doo sabin is closest to AM smoothing).

There are Windows Ink settings you should also disable since you don't need them with the wacom drivers and only makes the pen unpredictable in different applications ie middle click on button may or may not work for assigned keys. I use one button as middle mouse for panning and upper click as right mb.

  19. AM is a closed system, I realized that prior to purchasing my first version on cd way back when it uses splines as it's primary modeling scheme. AM has it's own way of handling things that are not always in the mainstream of doing things and most often more straight forward and easier especially for people who are new to 3d. I wish it was a hybrid system with a better i/o because the animation tools are still superior most other programs out there. With that being said and AM's current licensing system they seem to have shrunk their market. There were some users that suggested a Steam distribution but there was fear of too many new users needing help. I don't know what percentage of revenue Steam would want to shove in their pockets but I would think it would still boost the user base and make it worthwhile pursuing features in our wish lists such as LSCM for unwrapping models to make texturing easier. As far as the initial bug I used to right click and add decal within the model window and never had an issue but still using the old cd version 15 here because it's portable and not bound to one machine.
  20. Is it possible to use the HA MR and have it do the real time fx that are on most modern video card shaders?
  21. AM used to have a real time renderer, I forget the name but I believe it was intended for games? Wonder if it's possible to dust off that old code and update it to modern standards?
