Zaryin Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 In this thread I will be giving some of my models away. It should be noted that I am not an animator. Most of my models are made for one image and one image only. You will find that some of these models will only look good from certain angles. They are not all finished, and most will not have a rig in place. Some images and models may be missing because of copyright issues, or I just don't feel comfortable with there inclusion. I will try to include the entire final project file that led to the making of the final image that the models are associated with. This may not be possible for all models. I also don't know if I have the rights to post certain models I made for the TWO project. That will have to be up to others. All I ask is that if these models are used in any of your projects, that I am given credit for the work. Right now I am only comfortable with non-commercial use of my models. Feel free, however, to use all models for inspiration in the making of your own. Once again, thank you for taking an interest in my projects and I hope they are help to everyone. Enjoy! Quote
Zaryin Posted September 23, 2014 Author Posted September 23, 2014 The first model I will be giving away is the one that is most requested; The Alien: http://www.hash.com/stills/displayimage.php?pid=2081&fullsize=1 I have the entire project file for the image included. I also included the Thom model, even though he was not modeled by me (I hope that's okay). You will find that he is not fully textured and doesn't have a rig. This is the same body I used for my spider-man. It's not perfect, but it is the most detailed male humanoid body I have made, and should help those that are having problems with getting similar musculature. The textures I did make were made with a combination of Photoshop and 3DPainter. This model started out as a test of the new SSS feature (at the time), and the 3DPainter application. The eye texture was made using a tutorial I found for making eyes in Photoshop. If anyone has the link to that tutorial please feel free to post the link. I will admit, I am having a lot of trouble giving this model away, in fact I have trouble giving anything away. It's my baby, and I am sending it out into the world. It's hard for me. So, I decided to start with this model in the hopes it will make the others easier. So, I hope you get some educational, and fun, use out of this project. Don't forget to turn on SSS if you render the scene. Thanks for looking. Alien.zip 1 Quote
Fuchur Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Wow... Jeff thank you so much for that great model . I really love it! Just to mention it: The HDR-image "rnl_latlong.hdr" is not included. Do you mind sharing it too? See you and thank you very much again *Fuchur* Quote
Zaryin Posted September 23, 2014 Author Posted September 23, 2014 Like I said in the original post, some images cannot be included because they are not mine. You can find many free HDR images on the net that should be able to be placed where that one was though. Your welcome Quote
Admin Rodney Posted September 23, 2014 Admin Posted September 23, 2014 It is impressive as rendered... even more impressive in the behind-the-scenes... Thanks Jeff! Quote
Zaryin Posted September 23, 2014 Author Posted September 23, 2014 Yeah the pc I originally rendered this one on was a little less beefy than the one I have now . Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted September 24, 2014 Hash Fellow Posted September 24, 2014 Thanks for your fine work, Jeff! Quote
