Fab
A corkscrew made in A:M v11.0. I tried to reproduce Gobal Illumination lighting with only one light. http://perso.wanadoo.fr/ffave/img/Tire_bouchon.jpg Comments are welcome. Fabrice. JTalbotski
Nice! Very realistic. Is that using the new blurred reflection? Jim (edit: Well, of course if I read Yves comment, I would have known.)

I put a sun light at the top of the object with these options: Width : 800 cm Shadows: Rays cast : 50 Darkness : 60 And for the rendering, I made 36 passes. Xtaz: Did you use porcelain ? If yes .. how do you do whit the 5 points ? No I don't use porcelain, here the wireframe: http://perso.wanadoo.fr/ffave/img/Tire_bouchon_wire.jpg There isn't a lot 5 points, only in connections: http://perso.wanadoo.fr/ffave/img/Tire_bouchon_wire2.jpg Fabrice. Admin Rodney Posted March 10, 2004 Admin Share Posted March 10, 2004 Until the time you and the rest of the A:M Guru's decide to do a tutorial on use of the Talent Button I'll just sit here and admire.... hope you don't mind. 3DArtZ
Looks just like the one I got at home! Great job! You would think that there might be an antiliasing issue with this sort of detail/highlights/tight lines, but I can't detect any. Nice! Guest jandals
WOW! That's an awesome example of mechanical modeling in AM. I really like the lighting, too. I'm going to have to start using that setup. Sweet stuff! Rehtt
