Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted June 14, 2012 Hash Fellow Posted June 14, 2012 This is completely OT, but it's the worst hail I've ever been through... And now I've got a four foot hole in my roof! Only way this could be worse is if I still had a car out in the driveway. Quote
itsjustme Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Wow! I've never seen a roof get shredded like that...time to bust out some tarps. Quote
largento Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Wild. Thankfully missed it up where I am. Astonished at how many YouTube videos are already up showing it. Quote
largento Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 guy's trapped in traffic and his windshield is cracking. Quote
Gerry Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Wouldn't want to be out in that in a convertible. Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted June 15, 2012 Author Hash Fellow Posted June 15, 2012 Insurance? House built in 1920, original wiring, no central heat or air. That makes conversations with insurance agents very brief. All you can really get for something like this is phony insurance that has preposterously high deductibles and only pays for loss in value, not replacement. Quote
Darkwing Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 That's like where I live. Friggin farmhouse... Except I dont get major hailstorms and craziness like that Quote
*A:M User* Roger Posted June 18, 2012 *A:M User* Posted June 18, 2012 Sorry to hear about the damage to your roof. We had some pretty bad hail on Saturday but nothing like that. I would say it was somewhere between mothball and golfball size, but some of those hailstones you picked up looked to be about the size of a fist. I would not want to be out in that, that's for sure.
