Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted September 25, 2011 Hash Fellow Posted September 25, 2011 I dimly recall a sci-fi short story where a spaceship is going to try to scoop up a sample of the Sun. Of course things do not go well. Anyone recall the title or author? Quote

Drat! Another "why didn't I think of that moment" (AFP) - After billions of years the Sun finally has an owner -- a woman from Spain's soggy region of Galicia said Friday she had registered the star at a local notary public as being her property. Some enterprising government official should send her a property tax bill. Quote
MJL Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Maybe she should own it. After all she was the one "bright" enough to figure it out. Quote
Gerry Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Well in that case I claim all the rest of them! Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted September 26, 2011 Author Hash Fellow Posted September 26, 2011 It's good she got that notarized, it must be valid! Quote

Gerry Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Well of course the trick in flying to the sun is it should be done at night. Quote
