brainmuffin Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Well, I didn't finish in time for the mascot contest deadline. Here's where I'm up to, she's ready to rig: Quote
jakerupert Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Quite nice. Is the body your origion or did you change some other mesh? Theres some creasing in the face. Yes, I looked there too! Could you show the splinelayout? Quote
HomeSlice Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Very nice, but she looks a bit like a blow up doll at the moment ... kind of disturbing ... Can't wait to see her boned ... I mean ... rigged. Quote
brainmuffin Posted February 1, 2011 Author Posted February 1, 2011 The creasing on her face is due to a 5 point patch on her cheek. I'm not sure what the best way to get rid of the crease is. Here are some wires: Now that I look again, it seems like her feet are just a tad too small, too... Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted February 1, 2011 Hash Fellow Posted February 1, 2011 I'm not sure the crease is because of the five-pointer but maybe more that the splines on the sides of it aren't making smooth curves. Quote
brainmuffin Posted February 2, 2011 Author Posted February 2, 2011 Thanks, Rob. I'll try tweaking it to see if I can get the crease to go away. Here's a turnaround. I also have to find the patch on her left thigh that apparently has flipped normals, and it looks like her butt could use a little work, too. chibiturn.mov Quote

John Bigboote Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 She's wonderful! Something about that spline that runs under her nose and up to her ears... maybe if you can eliminate it...? Some things to try: -Sub Surface Scattering would be cool. -Maybe try Rob's Simcloth/Softbody trick on her hair to give it a little dynamic action. -TSM2 rig? In my little creepy mind... if you are going to make her 'that' voluptuos... you might as well give her some high-heels... need a model, choose from the attachment- I'll donate them to you(her)? Keep up the fun stuff! AM_high_heels.zip Quote

nino banano Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 cute character :)are you planning some animation with her? Quote
brainmuffin Posted February 2, 2011 Author Posted February 2, 2011 Just to quickly answer some unanswered questions: Jake: The mesh is all original. Nino: I don't have anything specific planned yet. Mainly she's a test run for making characters that can have multiple outfits using the DressMe plugin. I'm definitely going to do some animations with her, though. It'd be a shame not to make her jiggle... Quote
brainmuffin Posted February 2, 2011 Author Posted February 2, 2011 Matt: I took out the spline, that did the trick! I like the yellow shoes, they're almost exactly what I was going to model for her! Thanks! Quote

brainmuffin Posted February 4, 2011 Author Posted February 4, 2011 Matt: How do you want to send me the shoes? I tried to PM you, but the board said I'm not allowed to... Quote
John Bigboote Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Here is that model, enjoy! SHOES_yellow_with_feet.mdl Quote
brainmuffin Posted February 4, 2011 Author Posted February 4, 2011 Thanks! Now to start rigging... Quote
