1 Robot

Caution- This robot is NOT 3 Laws compliant!

1. This robot is likely to injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

2. This robot couldn't care less about orders given to it by human beings, even if such orders would conflict with the First Law.

3. This robot will protect its own existence and really doesn't give a crap about anyone elses needs.

As you can see, some training may be required to housebreak him.

No claims of great rigging or decals are made. Use of this model is unlimited but it would be nice to credit me for the Model and Ashley Wood for the inspiration. There is no warranty - Caveat emptor!!!!

But HEY - it's a FREE robot darn it!

Here is a link to the RetroBot Thread-RetroBot 2009 Thread

This robots Head & Shoulder area is slightly different from the 2009 version shown in that thread.

Also, the Forum Upload Thingy will not let me upload Materials (*.Mat)..when / if I figure out how - Iwill load them also.

Enjoy, life is good!

thanks for the robot

easiest thing is to embed them in a PRJ. But you can upload anyting if it's in a zip file.

you could put the model , materials, images and everything in one zip file.

I did the embed trick - and did a test open, but....it still wanted to look for files so I attached what was needed just in case. This moring I emailed the files to myseld using AOL which zip's everything to try to attach them now...no joy. i think all IS embeeded in the PRJ.....

I don't know how much more I will modify this guy or move on to the next Robot Model.....I really should try a 'pass the ball'.....

First Embed All, then Project -> Consolidate -> Project as textfile (*.PRJ and zipped (*.ZIP). That will make one zipfolder containing all the files needed in the project

Thanks Mark.

This is beautiful.

It will be interesting to see how people customize it and use it.

Hmmmmm, how would a robot pass a ball . . .

I'm not sure where it's been used but it's been downloaded quite a few times!

It's a very cool robot. Thanks for sharing it with us.

It was buried pretty deeply in the forum so I've moved this topic over to A:M Exchange.

Hopefully more people will see it and let you know how they've used it.

Thanks!

Dang... I feel like an idgit.... I usually harvest anything of possible further future usage on this forum, but I totally missed this one. Can't wait to play with him/it... thanks UNGLAU!

.mat is enabled on the forums?

Jason,

I had to think about that too (I should have thought to add a comment about this to avoid any confusion when I moved this topic).

Back when he first posted this free model (2009) the .mat extension hadn't yet been added to the list of acceptable forum extensions.

Everyone should be able to upload .mat files now.
