Master chief Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 i was wondering if AM has the ability to save a small animation as a animated gif or a item of the same relevance Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted May 29, 2008 Hash Fellow Posted May 29, 2008 A:M doesn' t make animated gifs. However there are many apps out there (search the web) that make animted gifs from files you imported from another app. Typically you would render to QT or a targa series and the other app would use that to make the gif. jzawacki Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 You can also use VirtualDub, it's free and has a ton of plugins and can export to .gif format. Here is an example of a video I converted to a "cartoon" and then exported to .gif: http://www.phoneteks.com/images/testclip.gif Quote
John Bigboote Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 If you own Photoshop with ImageReady, you already have the BEST animated gif maker available... Quote
elliotclem1 Posted May 31, 2008 Posted May 31, 2008 I have image ready but how do i export as a .gif because when i do i get loads of separate files in .gif format and not all in one. Quote
heyvern Posted May 31, 2008 Posted May 31, 2008 In image ready you have to create an animation. You need to open the time line palette. Put all the images on separate layers. ... does anyone read manuals anymore? -vern Quote
elliotclem1 Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 I did that but when I import the frames as an animation it put the frames in a strange order see screen shot below: When I rearranged them it still didn't refresh the animation. Why is this? Quote
johnl3d Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 try creating a new animations based ont he revised layers Quote
jon Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 layers and frames aren't directly related. in each frame, the layers can move and or be hidden. http://www.google.com/search?q=photoshop+gif+animation -jon Quote
Masna Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Is there a plug-in that allows you to actually use animated GIFs in A:M? Quote
